Interesting tidbit! Doesn't mean the Hawks willingly create a hole on their top line to acquire another 3rd round pick though. If Hall didn't want to play in Chicago, he shouldn't have agreed to the trade last off season. And he kind of owes the Hawks some ice time after collecting $7m for his 10 games played this season.

Yeah, maybe. But, why would he have accepted a trade to CHI in the first place, then? Either way, CHI doesn't need any more mid or late round picks. So, if he "wants to win", he can try to have a great season, get his value up, and get some trade interest at next seasons deadline.

for more than this offer, at least a 2nd if not more

That is a very reasonable assumption. Assuming the Hawks are just going to fork him over to the Devils for so little not so much. He is contractually obligated to be a Hawk & he hasn’t done what Kane for example has for the Hawks to be throwing his weight around to go wherever he wants for next to nothing.
What would be the legit price?
$6m x 1 year following an injury season.
Last trade was for two AHLers, previous trade was for Bjork/2nd.
Production has dropped considerably.
I would think a B-prospect and mid-round pick...maybe a bit more if salary was retained.
