Fiala would be another good comp you could use for Necas, but ADB works as well

Is Zegras Eichel? Not even a little bit. But you’re comp to eichel is a bad one. It’s really as straightforward as why the heck ANA would trade their most offensively gifted forward for a bunch of mid value picks that are unlikely to land a single top 6 player. His comment may have been exaggerated, but this offer is terrible

Zegras is a defensive blackhole and everybody not in denial knows it. This is why Verbeek didnt signed him long term but on a capfriendly deal to make him a trade bait.

Zegras is 4th in +/- among ANA fwds, 5th in both relative corsi and fenwick. Not to mention he’s a 22/23 year old, he doesn’t need to be a defensive stud yet, or even at all. He’s our most creative offensive producer and the team is night and day different with/without him on the ice. Been producing a point per game since he’s returned, and he’s still not even 100%. If you don’t like data, check out the goal he scored on LA just the other night generating a solo goal off of his own takeaway.

Tons of players sign bridges for many different reasons. Nylander signed a bridge deal, where is he now? Is Jason Robertson about to get traded?

As other have mentioned, Debrincat is probably the closest comp for Zegras (slight edge in value going to Debrincat).

But I'll repeat this until pigs fly, ANA need players like Zegras in their lineup, it's a position (top 6 wingers) their own fans admit needs to improve. So if ANA is willing to move Zegras, from a positional weakness, there's something fishy going on... and something isn't adding up.
Habs should really look elsewhere if looking to add top 6 talent. Necas would be a good target.
