Hughes number 5 when he have more points than Makar 🫠

Makar hasn't been at his best this year. There's not a defenseman in the world that I'd trade him for, but he's not at the top for this season.

Hughes and Josi should be 1 and 2 imo.

McAvoy is a more complete defenseman than many on this list.

Hughes should absolutely be #1 or 2. He's having an incredible year

I know Hughes should be higher but I'm not just going for points. I'm looking at their all-around game which is why I have Weegar so high. Fox has less game played but he's still having a stellar season. Dobson I would've had higher but he hasn't been as good as the start of the season. I also want say it was hard not to have Morrisey in there as well.

And Parayko should be here tbh well if hedman it though I don’t think either are top 10 this season

As a Flames fan, I love the respect for Weegar but I wouldn’t place him THAT high. Maybe like 7 or 8

If you want all round play, guys like Ekholm, Forsling and Slavin would be on your list. Bouchard would be higher, and Makar much lower.

Hughes has been great defensively this season. He’s easily #1. If you were going based on all around play then Makar would be way lower on this list
