You mean the guy who has been the biggest part of this team's resurgence and has had almost 2 100 point years + 2 more point per game seasons?? Why would the Canucks trade their best leader for one overpaid d-man and one who can't play defense. He is still going to be worth it the next 3 years and will still be a middle 6 player during his final years of his deal. Neither of those d-men are doing anything for Vancouver. By moving him the Canucks would lose all momentum to being a contender the next few years.

Oh lmao my bad, Miller also has 6 years so I got confused. Another aspect of the Canes trade is that KK is still under 25 years old, Dvorak is almost 30. KK could make some massive strides and be worth his deal while Dvorak only has one year left. Makes sense as a lateral move imo but the difference isn't worth a 2nd

I'm a KK believer myself so I understand that I'm going to hold an unpopular opinion regarding him but he has shown multiple times in the playoffs as a young player to be effective and come up in big moments. That 100% means something since he's done it numerous times between being a hab and being a cane.
