Take out the 4th going back to the Habs and the Hawks probably accept.

What about a 5th and a 7th instead of a 4th and a 6th ?

How about Dvorak and the 2nd for F/C? Montreal should be happy just to win the late round pick swap in the original deal. That Rangers 2nd is likely to be a late 2nd as well. Dvorak isn't close to being a $6m player, which is his actual salary next season.

I know you already said this is unrealistic, but...

- That draft pick trade with Arizona, MTL needs quality not quantity and their scouts feel that this draft isn't as deep outside the first round, which is interesting.

- Harris deal, maybe.

- They just retained 50% on Allen to trade him because they decided to keep Primeau. They aren't trading him.

- Zegras trade is too rich, you used Debrincat as a comparable, yet added in Barron which is equivalent to a late 1st. Yes it's a deal Anaheim probably can't refuse, but I think there are other alternatives for MTL that don't involve them overpaying while trading their top 10 pick.

- There is no need to pay to dump Dvorak, even with the hypothetical signings you made you would be cap compliant with him on the roster. Why throw away a 2nd round pick?

- I think Stamkos, Fluery, Monahan and Xhekaj all get more on their contracts.

Habs will likely gonna want a very small return, not future considerations. I'm ok with a 6th round pick for 2025 or 2026.

- The Arizona trade with the picks open the opportunities for us about adding somes futhermore Draft picks for Montreal to target somes futhermore assets for playoffs. Also, I think Montreal targets somes specific players, but if they aren't available and the Coyotes target a available player for them, the trade can be made.

- Harris is a realistic return.

- I think the Habs management will gonna make a decision if Primeau can be a great fit for them as their 2nd goalie or if he needs a refresh start somewhere else. I think the 2nd option will gonna be the most realistic scenario and the Flyers are a natural fit for Primeau.

- With what Pierre LeBrun said about the Zegras situation few weeks ago, I think the Habs are maybe one of theses teams who aren't scared to paid a lot for a player like Zegras. Also, I think too much Habs fans just overhype Barron.

- We can't just keep too much contracts on our line-up. We need to clear somes space on the cap for somes multiple reasons (asset management, bonus, etc.), and that's why we will gonna need to get rid of Dvorack. Also, with the numbers of Drafts picks that we will gonna have, that's not really a problem for us to doing that cap dump.

I agree that the Habs would want a return for him. The question is: would they be able to get one? He is getting paid 4.5 mil per & has played 89 games (so far) the past 2 years & has gotten 35 points. That is not a lot of bang for your buck.

Habs better off just keeping Dvorak for final year of deal
Won’t trade their top pick for Z
