That probably doesn't get Crouse, No way you would be getting a pick there 2. IMO

Frankly while value is overpay minus the 3rd; I have no real interest in Keller due to his size.

Is another high end forward the biggest need for Buffalo this off season? I would have thought a top 4 RHD that's a stud defensively would be the priority

I would think they would want a young player, not another pick

It would be for me, but we would likely have to move some guys out.

All lefties. I know Dahlin plays the right side but having a whole top 4 of lefties wil eventually be a problem. Also think Samuelssons play this season has left a lot to be desired.

Tanev would be the best and easiest option

DeMelo, and Ryan Johnson can play his offside very well to. Actually think with Ryan Johnson's skating he could be are 2nd best RD if they would actually use him.

All 4 can play on their off hand.

The Sabres have repeatedly said they don't care about handedness.

Even still, they could acquire a rhd and make a trade like this

I think that's the problem. No defenseman plays as good on their off-side. You're essentially sacrificing defense for offence, as you're defending with your backhand.

i'd argue that this isn't really an overpay. it's quantity over quality.
Krebs has potential to be a middle 6 guy. Joki is a bottom pairing guy, kind of. i know nothing of the Russian, but 13 points in the KHL isn't good. a first is a first.

The kid scores, he's 25 and you get 4 prime years of contract...Skinner is in his declining years and drops to the 3rd line next year then bought out the following year.
I'd take Keller but don't think that is the right give for that trade to happen. Definitely would start with our first and maybe Rosen or Samuelsson plus another piece with no draft pick coming back our way.

If I'm Arizona I'd keep Keller use some of that draft capital they've amassed and build that team up. They had a decent first half of the season this year,

DeMelo would be a good, underrated pickup for Buffalo.

Somewhat, I found the only difference was against the boards in the Dzone as it comes around. Once I got used to it, it was easier to tip the puck up or between my legs. Skating is a huge key to playing either side IMO.
