He plkays ES, PK and a bit of PP, brings leadership, physicality and 2 way play, I'd rate him as better than Greenway, but hes a 4th liner. (and Ostlund is still behind Kulich, Savoie and Rosen in BUF system, with alot of youth on the NHL roster, a full compliment of picks and the team needing to change its non playoff streak)</div></div>
Still an overpay. Just because we have lots of youth doesn't mean we overpay. No thanks

Need shutdown Right d. Demelo not much more and more suited. Kevin Hayes? Heck no. Make a trade that makes sense and not a massive cap dump and you can have Joker and Samuelsson but I'd rather waive them than take this 11 million cap dump

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>penguinswin</b></div><div>Maybe you're right and time will tell. I just worry about his tendencies were different than Dahlin, so the argument that Dahlin worked out great doesn't fit for me. I see way more Risto in his early years than Dahlin. And that IS something to worry about
I think Novikov can absolutely be a solid 3D. Just not sure it's next year. Maybe year after. I still think Strbak could be the best Dman BUF has that isn't in BUF already</div></div>

Tampa really behind 8 ball cap wise, Paul or Cirelli our 3c?

Although not ideal Dahlin and Byram can play right side btw

Option 3
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>penguinswin</b></div><div>By 25/26 Adams will be gone if they aren't in the playoffs next year. Sammy is injury prone due to the way he plays. Take a deal while he has value. Savoie has not shown enough yet to warrant the hype BUF fans have for him. Great junior players don't always make great or even good NHL'ers.
I think you are overvaluing Buch's next deal; it will be less than Skinner's cap hit which will be of the books soon.
And I don't see Power being anything more than Eric Johnson after he got drafted. Lots of similarities.... again, he was a fine player but not franchise level player like a no.1 pick should be. I would actually be glad to be wrong about him; but I don't see it</div></div>
Sammy should go with Johnson ready and Novikov who's my favorite of the 3. Dahlin took few years,he turned out, they were patient with Mittelstadt he turned out,Thompson the same. Power will be same. Give him time

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>penguinswin</b></div><div>I don't see Andersson getting more than Hanifin: 8yrs x 7M, and probably less dollars but close to it. That's why moving Power out compensates for that cap hit, plus with the cap going up, you're covered.
Personally BUF already tried the Montour thing and it didn't work out; I don't see either part wanting to get back together</div></div>
His hometown hour over border. Times have changed. He's a different player. Never say never. Crazy cap world way tougher on 29 year Olds and they're rich enough to choose.
I could be wrong but seriously doubt Power moves unless it's too good to be true. I think you're wrong

His SH time has increased the last few years and is ok in the hits & blocks columns, but that is 3rd pairing stuff (i.e. Clifton), albeit with more ice time than a typical 3D.
Roy rings a little more offense, but less on the blocks & hits, and only averages 15-16 min TOI. This is exactly 3rd pairing info. Pretty sure you and I could put up his numbers playing 3rd pair in VGK.... just saying...
I am willing to agree to disagree, but I am not seeing these as viable options</div></div><div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>penguinswin</b></div><div>Demelo averages close to 20 mins TOI this year but hasn't over his career, and is not there for offense. Or giveaway so much for Andersson for one year then pay 10 million or walk and a bunch of scraps?
If we that needy then pay Montour 7x6 years. Florida has big three dilemma Reinhardt getting huge payday first. Then 2 d
That gives us pretty incredible top 4 but pricey

Option 3
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>penguinswin</b></div><div>Novikov has potential; but again he is a L shot Dman.
I don't see how it's "destroyed" this is Power and Savoie for Parayko, Samuelsson for Faulk ( 2 totally different types of players) and Krebs, Rousek & Ostlund for Buchnevich. Each one of those is a win-win hockey trade; I just linked them together. Other than Sammy for Faulk, the other two favor BUF today and STL maybe in the future. BUF needs as many sure things as they can get, and this is actually my preferred "get Power out of town" deal for BUF</div></div>
Ps. These aren't win win trades for Buffalo
We don't want him out of town. You do. He's going to be fine player sooner than you think. Power and Savoie ridiculous for Parayko and his contract is eventual doom. Adam's would never do that Sammy for Faulk again gives us PP more than PK which as need so no
Buchnevich great for one year while 3-5 rookies join team and acclimatize then He's 10 million or gone. Next year another tough learning year for this team but look out in 25-6. Adam's not taking long term aging vets, hence Byram trade and he's adding very slowly and carefully. Lots of ufas will be gone and needed ufas will be in.
So wish you luck but you none of your ideas age well enough for when team ready to content. So happy ice trails

The rest are 3rd pairing guys to me. 2nd if an injury hits which is already what Jokiharju is. That's why I say you gotta point up to a legit RHD stud</div></div>
Demelo first choice he's all that and Roy pretty legit. You think these two 3rd pairings? We agree to disagree. Vehemently so
Tanev,at his age won't get much better than 3yrs. Desperate team might but hope it's not us. 3 yr fair if other two not available.
Hope we draft big fast right d like Yakemchuk, Elick,Emery,Badinka and if truly fortunate the Belarus guy in Michigan teammate if Strbak I can't spell. Levshnov?
