I think they're pretty close. Quinn is a better shooter, better two way player too, not real fast, I worry cuz he has had a torn achillies (last year) and another leg injury this year, I imagine these leg injuries aren't gonna make him faster. Peterka is really fast, reminds me of afinogenov, looks like he's shot out of a cannon on a breakaway, but his hands can't keep up- like he has hands and a good shot, but not at top speed. I guess I would say Quinn, but it's close. He's gotta stay healthy for a whole season, he's missing chunks to the point where I forget he's here.

I don't blame you one bit. Mittelstadt is having a much better year than cozens, I just like cozens skill set more than Mittelstadts.

No way Ottawa even considers that package. Staios has already stated Brady isn't going anywhere. Was nice for fans to dream but he isn't leaving Ottawa anytime soon. But for Ottawa to consider tradiong Tkachuk to a division rival? Likely 2024 1st rounder, D. Cozens, J.J. Peterka, and Kulich. Buffalo I doubt will want to pay that, and Ottawa wouldn't settle for anything less knowing we'd have to play him and eventually compete against him in the playoffs. It's not like Ottawa has to trade him.... He still has 4 years left on his contract.

That’s the sort of package you pay for his MVP candidate brother who scores 100 points a year.

Haha thank you!
Spend all that for 15 more points a year over Cozens production.

Hard to find something more overhyped the Brady love fest!

No love fest, but like him or not, EVERY TEAM wants a guy like him in the playoffs. 6'4 225 pounds 35-40 goals, 100PIM's, thriws big checks.... How many defenseman in the East can even come closde to handling Tkachuk in a 7 Game series? Think he's physical in the regular season? Wait til that kid plays in the playoffs. Teams would line up with pockets empty for that kid.

AND change Weegar to Andersson

Like I said.... You're not going to land a player like Tkachuk with a nice piece and ton of filler.... Especially a division rival. Tkachuk isn't just a nice player. He's the game's top power forward. Thge impact this guy has on a game is uncanny. Ottawa's trouble this season is this is a great team that plays a poor brand of hockey.... With the coaching change you're starting to see what this team could've done had it gotten rid of Smith before training camp. But with almost $14M in cap space opening up... Kleven, Guenette, Sogaard, and Crookshank all likely ready for spots next season, Ottawa will have a ton of money to add in key spots. But Ottawa absolutely would ask for a fortune if a division rival asks for him. The price Buffalo pays? isn't neccessarily the price say Anaheim pays. Nothing worse than having Tkachuk come back to haunt us 4+ times a year.

I’ll admit, you’re getting a little more reasonable,
but most of these moves are still bad & don’t make sense for us

Flames aren’t any more likely to trade Weegar than they are Andersson- they’ll hang on to both of them till at least next year’s deadline
And wtf are u trading away Cozens for???
Yikes dude! Come on now

Giving up on Samuelsson? Not gonna happen

Hakkanpaa in the top4…?
Not a good idea at all

Would live to get Brady, but Ottawa isn’t gonna move him
Not right now anyways…. maybe in the offseason, but even that would be surprising

Zero interest in a cost controlled player who would immediately become your 2nd best dman for years before Power takes over?

Yes, exactly
Except u fail to recognize we don’t need an “offensive” defenseman- especially not at his Cap hit
U call him cost controlled, but he’s expensive
And Power is expected to pass him sooner then later, not in “years”

A guy like Andersson would interest us
Weegar- NOT AT ALL

What does Weegar and Power have to do anything with each other. If anything I would want them to play Together. Weegar is basically a 50/50 guy, I would take him in a Heartbeat but not with Cozens involved.
