Apart from the Oilers trading a 1st for an almost equally bad goalie when the buyout is 1.1M for the first year

1. allen is currently way better than campbell. will that last? who knows?
2. allen's contract is certainly way way way better than campbell's
3. It is 1.1 next year. then 2.3 the year after. then 2.6 the year after. then 1.5 for the next three. it's not like the buyout option is ideal.

This is weird

Matheson is worth a first and a A prospect

Campbell cost more than a late first to dump

Savard easily gets more than a third

I don’t think Anderson has any value, even retained, but it’s the fairest deal there

Fabbro doesn’t have that kind of value

Orlov ain’t a cap dump

two deals I think are easy passes for the other team:

-Josh Anderson is worth nothing to the Devils. Here's their 8 wingers from last night's game: Ondrej Palat(*), Jesper Bratt (*), Jack Hughes (*), Tyler Toffoli (*), Timo Meier (*), Dawson Mercer (*), Alex Holtz (*), and Nathan Bastian. Every player with an asterisk has outscored Anderson on this season. He'd be lucky to be a 3rd liner on the Devils; even with retention I can't see them giving up that much for him when they have other, more pressing needs.

-Carolina isn't paying to dump Dmitry Orlov. I'd have to imagine he's more or less doing what they expected this year and will be much more important of a player next season when it's likely they have to move on from one of Brady Skjei and Brett Pesce.

Just because Matheson has a lot of points doesn't mean his value is high, he's played awfully this year.

I agree with you on campbell.

Dont think Savard has any value.

Anderson could be dealt on that exact deal, Miles Wood got the same money at a much longer contract.

Fabbro is solid

Orlov hasn't worked in Carolina i think they'd like to move on from him

Send Savard elsewhere. The Jackets are already struggling with Severson, Boqvist, Gudbranson, Peeke, Jiricek, and Blankenburg for NHL RD and they're all still under contract for next year. Adding Savard into the mix just muddles things even more.

I have the upmost respect for *checks notes* Mrpoopybuthole, but Columbus won't be entertaining a Savard reunion.

Matheson has been top 15 in the league offensively this season. He is also able to play 25 min per night. That alone makes him worth a first and a second

Savard definitely has a lot of value. He has been one of the best defensively this season and even been decent offensively

I just don’t think anyone would want Anderson

Fabbro is solid, but not that far ahead of Harris. He could easily be acquired for Harris and a third

Orlov hasn’t worl out, but he can still rebound
