I wouldn't take Vladar off waivers. If Calgary retained 50% of his contract, I'd give up a 4th or 5th round pick.

Vladar is basically performing at the level of an adequate AHL goalie. Why on earth would you pay him 2.2m for that? It’s like tossing good money after bad.

Vladar is not a good goalie and no team is taking on an extra year at 2+ million. He either slips through waivers or gets claimed if the Flames are looking to get Wolf some playing time.

I don’t really care if it’s meant as a joke. It’s unnecessary and I will respond to it. My mom spent her whole career as a valued teacher in this province and teaching was her passion. This ignorant POS should have some respect for those who do give their lives to teach people.

I’ve watched him play since he joined this team. He’s an underrated guy. A lot of times he’s been the one bright spot on this team and his stats aren’t reflective of his play. Especially considering an underperforming team in front of him. Like I said I believe he’s worth a 4th and I do have good friendships with people in the hockey world. He is very well thought of from a number of managers outside of Calgarys system. Not worth Turcotte or Jiricek but has value to a team that needs a solid backup

His goals saved above expected per 60 is terrible no matter how you put it. Hes big and athletic. Looks the way a goalie should, but he just isn’t effective. He’s basically a young Vanacek and that isn’t a complement

I’d consider him as a minimum contract guy if I had a good goalie coach, but his contract is just plain bad.

Avs can't afford a 2.2 mil back up next year so they're out on that alone.
