That Rangers proposal is really interesting. Unfortunately the Rangers don’t have a replacement for Schneider in the pipeline and Knies is kind of redundant with Cuylle on the roster. Timmins isn’t really appealing given how little he plays and his constant struggles with injuries.

The Ranger offer is a fair offer value wise, but I would prefer the Rangers keep Schneider because young RD with his potential are few and far between.

Have to agree here. Interesting for sure. Wingers isn’t something NYR needs. Panarin, kreider, Laf, Kakko, cuylle, Othmann and Gabe to join in the coming years. Knies won’t fit. A few others in the A too.

Robertson has top 6 potential. The kid has heart and can score. He just needs to get a bit more opportunity. He is just under 0.5 pts per game right now but he is getting under 11 mins a game right now.

Warm bodies are warm bodies, man. Who is replacing Bogo after we deal him? If they want to tank, then playing any of Goligoski or Merrill or the half dozen AHL'ers that have played down there this year would surely help them do that. But, and here's the kicker... Last I checked, the GM was adamant that the goal was still to try and climb back into a playoff spot. That was via a presser just 3 days ago.

Still less damaging than trading Neiderreiter for Rask and Coyle for absolutely nothing.

Coyle got Dontato + 4th; that trade was an easy win for MN. Coyle was a pending UFA and wasn't going to be re-signed.

I don't even mind the Nino trade at the time. Nino had played himself out of the lineup in MN that season.
