Meh, not many young players have that agency to choose not to spend years of their life playing somewhere they don't want to be.

Also Flyers fans lost any right to complain about young players forcing their way out of somewhere they don't want to be the second they got Eric Lindros lmao. Don't remember any flyers fans calling him a wuss for not playing in Quebec.

Oilers would have interest in Walker but Cap needs to work.

How bout Oilers 1st + Ceci for Walker?

Ceci can be flipped for a pick at next years TDL.

In fairness m, Big E said that because the owner of the Nordiques apparently hit on his mom. At least that’s what I’ve heard from someone who used to work in the organization that came into my restaurant 2-3 times a month

Cutter was told bad things by Hayes cause he didn’t get along with torts

Either way, I'm pro young player agency. They get a limited window to play pro, I wouldn't want to be locked into playing somewhere I didn't want to be for 7 years Either

The thing with Gauthier is that he could've told that to the Flyers when they interviewed him before the draft, but he chose to lie instead by saying how he wants to play for the flyers and how he was "Built to be a Flyer and how he wanted to be a Flyer".

He was also like 17/18 then? There's a million reasons why he could have changed his mind. He doesn't owe them anything? Why should he stick it out for a few years when he knows he's gonna be unhappy there?

Hart doesn’t have that kind of value, he still hasn’t broken out as an elite goalie and he’s ranked in the mid 30’s for goalies… you’re not going to get that kind of offer for a low end starter with not much growth left

The way he handled himself was incredibly immature imo. Ghosting the team that drafted you after you changed your mind and not even giving a reason as to why to the team is a very bad look on him. At 17/18 he is also making the decision with the help of his parents and everyone around him. People should have honour to uphold carefully thought out decisions they make for there life like saying you want to play in philly, and should at the bare minimum show up to dev camp.

Flyers fans should have every right to be upset

Many here are probably too young for the Lindros story but you’re 100% right!!!

Oh but could you imagine what the Lindros saga would’ve looked like with social media? It’d make this look like peanuts.

Then he should have told that from the start. There was no major change to the organisation other than Tortorella being brought in and which he seemed to be kinda pumped about on a podcast. The way which he handled everthing makes him look really unprofessional and immature and he hasn't even given a reason why he wanted to leave. He literally ghosted the Flyers top brass after telling them he doesn't want to sign and when Briere and Jones went all the way to sweden this WJC to talk to him in person he refused to talk to them. There is no excuse for that type of behavior.

I think the Canucks consider it. VAN is looking for a top 6 winger and that's about the cost for a 24 year old winger whos on pace for back to back mid 20 goal and high 40 point seasons.
