Description
Rumor has it Van and Mtl are discussing a Monahan-Kuzmenko swap. Don't know if the Nucks would want/need Harris but have seen a few attempts in the past by fans trying to acquire him.

Shedding the Kuzmenko's contract could be motivation enough if Vancouver doesn't see away for him to properly fit the current team

NJ would have to be really desperate to make the trade, unfortunately for NJD Fans they might be getting to that point

I'd say these are plausible but, unlikely

Last thing I read had Monahan, Kovacevic, '25 2nd to VAN, Kuz, Hoglander, '24 3rd to MTL. Obviously it's not set in stone, just what the article stated.

Yeah, I didn't see any of the original reports just an article stating there had been conversations on a Monahan for Kovalenko swap. I just included Harris for a 2nd because there were quite a few ACGM's earlier in the season from Nucks fans trying to acquire Harris

From a Canucks fans perspective: One thing we have learned from Allvin is he can show patience and will not knee jerk a response based on a limited sample size. As he did with Boeser last season. He has a player in Kuzmenko that cost him nothing to acquire and scored almost 40 goals in his first season only one season ago. In this his second season the player is on pace for 18 goals and is in a bit of a sophomore slump. The relationship Allvin has with Kuzmenko's agent (Milstein) is also important as he is the same agent for quite a few other Canucks players and so treating this players situation a little more carefully is wise, if the Canucks want to continue to attract players like Zadarov, who the Canucks got for a 5th rounder (based on the agents recommendation).

Finally, the Canucks defensive issues are no longer as big an issue as last season. On the left side they have Hughes/Soucy/Zadorov/Cole, on the right Hronek/Myers and Juulsen. They could stand another puck moving RHD, so Barron would be your best trade chip, but again, I dont think the Canucks are interested in moving Kuzmenko at this stage.

Zadorov was a 3rd and a 5th to acquire, what a great trade for the Nucks, I've wanted the Jets to acquire that big mean Russian for years!

Canucks probably wouldn’t have interest in Harris as they already have 4 NHL LHD. Also

Kuz > Monahan
2nd > Harris

Easy pass for Canucks.
Montreal can keep Harris and Monahan.
Montreal has no interest on Kuzmenko.
They have young players better than him TBH.

Devils are never gonna be so desperate that they trade Holtz for Allen that's ridiculous. Desperate would be trading Holtz for Gibson.

He hasn't played well lately, but we're gonna need some cheap contracts with talented guys to supply the depth

I wish they'd trade Barron instead! He's brutal defensively. I dont care that he's a RHD except for the fact that it makes him more valuable as a trade chip.

I could see Jersey spending assets on Markstrom as well and I think Jacob would waive.

I would change it to the Flames 1st to make it work, I still doubt the Devils would be convinced to move Holtz though

Yeah, I also doubt that but maybe if Vejmelka gets traded, they will get desperate and overpay for Allen
