100% agree with this tweet especially the ending

Woll was elite but the defense left him out to dry and as a result injured. Same thing happened with our other guys team just quit on them. Thats not gonna help anyone. Help them out and maybe we see more saves and teamwork lul.

But yea fix the defense and then look towards the goalies. And with Brad as our GM cant wait to see TML Dcore 2.0

It's definitely a combo of issues, but I'm confused about why Chynoweth is still on the bench (and Boucher is also there now) but Van Ryn is running the defence.

Let's forget the past two games and stats. After two stinkers we'll see what the Leafs made of tonight.
If they continue to implode there isn't a trade or trades that can make this team serious Cup contenders.

In general rn the Leafs are using Benoit, Lagesson, Timmins of course the defensive numbers gonna be down. Bring in an Adam Larsson or Chris Tanev to play top 4 and get Gio back the numbers will improve

It does… when you’re dealing w multiple injuries, stats show it… And a D like Larson moves everyone down, taking the load off a guy like McCabe or Brodie

They have a terrible 4th line, a 3rd line that Keefe won’t trust in the playoffs, an inconsistent top 6 that still can’t find the correct pairings, an old/slow Dcore that can’t defend the front of the net (and outside of Morgan Rielly produce offensively), we have no idea who our starting goaltender is and if Joe Woll is that, can he stay healthy (he has been injured every year since he turned pro), they are still coached terribly (every year it’s the same issues, slow starts, playing down to their opponents) and a forward group that is very bad defensively.

But sure, I guess Chris Tanev or Adam Larsson can fix all that.

At least we have Auston Matthews. 🤷‍♂️

Agree with #2 (no need to switch), but think the whistle should go after 18 seconds.
You don't want the goalie spending 18 seconds chewing up the crease for the next guy to deal with for the entire period.

In general switching sides that soon can cause a headache. Basically oh wait **** we switched sides lul. Thats why like in OT they give em some time nope. Swap sides and play on lul

Guys like McCabe, Rielly, a Larson at TDL and even Lagesson/ Gio can clear out front

With Lilly and Timmons helping Rielly’s production

The Leafs have 3 goalies, one of them will shine and will stay healthy

And Matthews is a cheat code…

3rd and 4th line could use a little tune up specifically Robertson and McMann. They have been good but the flaws are also present. Idk if they here past the TDL or if they are here are on the playoff starting lineup

Robertson to me may need a change of scenery. As he feels like someone who would thrive on a rebuilding team with 0 worry about the standings. He has worked with Domi and Jarnkrok but they could use someone a bit better defensively there to help with Domi

For the 4th line an upgrade over McMann wouldnt hurt

Henrique, Texier, or Dube for instance for the 3rd line and Sundqvist for the 4th line not bad. Also would look to guys like Steeves to get a crack at the main roster to.
