A dream world where Edmonton quits focusing solely on offense. I never understood why their defense wasn't a Top 4 of bruisers who could focusing on clearing out net front and getting the puck out of their own D zone to McDavid and Draisatl, you dont need anything fancy there, I did like the Ekholm signing last year, although expensive, but one addition is not enough. A bottom 6 that can wear down the other team and win possession. Put a few underrated scorers with your 2 superstats but dont rely on them for a hat trick a night. Jack Campbell put up decent numbers on a Maple Leafs team with terrible defense, i dont think he's 100% the problem with the GA. I did get a little lazy with the trades, more just the point of adding bottom 6 players and D men with the playstyle of those players who don't have huge salaries, so you can afford a good defense and a few skill players to go with the top 6.
