Why would you want to pay assets for Justin Holl? You realize he's coming off one of the worst playoff performances I've ever seen right?

Detroit is not going to trade a RD to make room for a LD when they already have 4 LD on the roster.

Vancouver doesn't do this. Holl is another #5 dman. Vancouver already have 3 #5 dmen in Cole, Soucy and Myers.

I am not a Holl hater and I think his contract is reasonable (I may be an exception in that thought process), but he is not what Vancouver needs.

Sounds like Simon Edvinsson will start in Grand Rapids

I've liked Holl with much of tenure with the Leafs. But last two years he has signs of really slowing down.....he's just not skating effectively, and when you're slow, you just can't make plays
Though I wish Holl well, gotta think his 3.4m X 3 contract is not good at all . Stay away.

Felt like the Holl negative feeling was a bit overblown. Always thought he could be a good partner with Hughes. Fills a huge need in Van and can PK. Contract not bad at all. Maybe I'm just blinded by McWard about to be his partner but Hughes got Schenn paid so Holl could thrive.

Holl was on for (I think) 71% of the goals scored against in games that he was playing in... While playing 3rd pairing minutes... While I do agree he got a ton of unnecessary hate in Toronto during the RS, the hate he got in the playoffs wasn't as unjustifiable
