No. Nylander got 40 goals and 40+ assists, and he hasn't even peaked. Leafs are already over the cap, so taking an ok Defence Seth Jones at $9M is not do-able. Toronto is also in win now mode. We want Jones 50% retained for our cap situation, and Reichel who looks promising and could play on our thrid. Looking at it again, we would probably deserve more, but just those 2 with the conditions I meantioned would be fine imo. But either way there is no way Toronto would make a trade with Chicago right now.

Don't see why Chicago does this. I doubt they do Nylander for Reichel 1 for 1 and it's nothing to do with value but age and timeline. Nylander, even if he does sign with the Hawks, will be making like $10M and will probably be about 31 when they are competitive.

This goes against the rebuild game plan that is in place. Trading Reichel now when he is ready to move up feels like a waste of all the time & energy spent developing him. It going to take time to build the franchise back up , I would rather they take the time to do it right, then cut corners to shorten the wait time.

Nylander to the Hawks? No. Makes 0 sense. If they want him sign him as a free agent. There is no need to waste assets on what will be an overpaid winger.

If you don't think that is a quality offer for Nylander, you have no clue what you are talking about. In fact, this is a massive overpayment for him. Nonetheless, this would be AWFUL for CHI, and there is absolutely zero reason they should even consider trading for Nylander.
