Is $2.5 mill a little high, sure, but it certainly would be within reason or a range of expected salary and seems silly to be overly critical of given the fact that within two years the salary cap is likely to go up by around $8.5 million. Especially when put into the context of a group of players who make similar amounts and have similar roles.</div></div>

Ras is a terrible hockey player. Hopefully he's not on the team much longer.

Regular season points are cute, but he's simply not a $11.5M AAV player. It's a serious overpay and will be a major problem for the Rangers very soon.

It's what the Rangers needed to pay him to come to New York. He is a one-dimensional winger that excels on the PP.

He's just a bad hockey player. Another atrocious Holland draft pick.

I knew this just from watching all the games on TV, but I was there again last night (and the previous NYR, NYI and NJD games). He is a horrible skater, cannot handle the puck with his head up, and has no idea how to play in space without the puck. It's actually incredible he made it to the NHL.

It's truly amazing how people post here that clearly don't watch the league or watch the team they are commenting on. You have:

1) Copp as 2C
2) Kostin on the 4th line
3) Kane playing with Fabbri at wing
4) Perron over Raymond on the first line
5) Lyon as a scratch

Why waste everyone's time, including your own?

He's looked very good, but is for some odd reason being played with bad players. Hopefully that changes soon.
