I think that, even if the Devils are still interested in Anderson, they won’t send a first.

Problem is that Coleman, Lehkonen and Goodrow (to a lesser extent) are significantly better players than Josh Anderson is, have been and ever will be.
To say nothing of the fact that Palat blows Josh Anderson out of the water in terms of overall ability AND playoff juju, your main selling point for this disaster of an Anderson trade.

Besides, most beat writers like Arpon Basu are woefully incompetent at making good bets for trade returns.
It's not even in their best interest to be reasonable and accurate in the content they put out as that, in comparison to this travesty of a suggested trade, doesn't drive clicks and engagement.

Anyway, cold day in hell before Josh Anderson returns anything remotely close to this.

There's no interest in Anderson from the Devils.
There has never been any interest in Anderson from the Devils.
There aren't any teams in the NHL sending a 1st for Anderson without 50% retention and significant sweeteners in return.
