Boston still will have one of the best tandems and top-2 pairings in the league.
Outside of their top-6 centers (admittedly, an important position), their team is very good.
I think they fight for the final WC against FLA.

Ottawa still has DJ Smith in charge. Can't traverse the ocean if your captain (or coach in this case) is awful.

Buffalo #2 in the Atlantic? Unless Devon Levi wins the Vezina, that ain't happening. Washington bottom of the Metro is really bold.

They're a young team. I think, as long as Levi is as advertised and is a good goalie, it's definitely possible.

That defense is still very young... they still need to take a step forward defensively for them to be competitive for that second Atlantic spot

Buffalo is an interesting case, they seem to be on a cycle of getting close one year and then a big regression the next. If that doesn't happen good for them. They are fun to watch, definitely need to tighten up though. A well structured team can really make them pay for their mistakes. Ottawa though is think is going to disappoint their fans again. Tank and Giroux aren't what they used to be.

Young; yes, but they're legit. Their 2RD isn't the best, but he'll be able to hang.

Offensively yes they are legit but that backend didn't seem defensively good enough to allow them to compete for second in the Atlantic

As said, that's if Levi is legit. I'm assuming Power is going to continue taking steps forward. Their top-line is legit, and their 2nd line is better than last year (assuming Power takes another step forward, as you'd expect).

I agree that the defense will probably take a step forward but I'm concerned with Jokiharju and that third pairing

Meh. Isolate their minutes. They'll be fine. I think their overpowering top-9 will be able to account for their bottom pairing.

lol Giroux and Tarasenko are for depth. Sens fixed the depth issues they had last year and now have 3 scoring lines

Even last year they didn’t suck, they missed the playoffs by 6pts and got burned by getting Chychrun too late, the Norris injury , lack of depth and bad goaltenxing
