Assuming EK65 waives his NMC for both teams, the Sharks retain 2.5 million of his salary per year and these are the two best packages.

Each trade package is loosely based on what San Jose gave up to acquire EK65 back in 2018.

These are way off rendering this post and poll way off.

IF these were the packages why wouldn’t the sharks have taken one of them already???

Let's say San Jose retains 50% then.

Which return would you rather have if you're San Jose?

Pittsburgh and Carolina are rumoured to be the two frontrunners to acquire EK65.

I don't know what the return will be and neither do you.

So, I came up with two packages that sort of look like what San Jose gave Ottawa back in 2018.

    All I'm asking is this:

What would you rather have if you're San Jose?

If you don't want to answer the question, go whine and complain somewhere else.

I would lean Carolina. I think the Sharks would flip Teuvo, either immediately or at the trade deadline and I think he's probably worth a late first (maybe less, since he's coming off a down year). I'm not super familiar with any of the prospects; Gunler was picked higher and two years earlier, so maybe he's closer to the NHL?

I suppose with Pittsburgh's package there's a better chance that the 1st rounder transfers this year or that there's a better chance for a higher pick in 2025. Still leaning Canes though

Why can’t I whine and complain both here and elsewhere - this is the internet after all.

Hope you get everything you are looking for in life, and all your dreams come true. Vote for Greer.

Thank you for admitting you like to whine and complain on the internet.

I've now learned something new about you.

And voting for Grier is a non-answer.

You may choose between Pittsburgh and Carolina.

Thank you and have a nice day.

Value is better in canes offer. That being said, pens win if that’s their offer bc canes wouldn’t come close to sending that package.

I recognize that this is all essentially "fantasy" league. So there are no wrong answers in a fantasy league. But just so we're all clear about the fantasy part. If I'm weighing in on this, I wouldn't think some of the pieces here would be of interest to SJ, but I refer back to the aforementioned fantasy statement. Peace out.

If Teuvo has SJS on his NTC then what for the canes? (b/c i wouldn't be shocked if he did) I'm guessing at this but I feel like the european players tend to have the bottom teams in the league on their NTC list b/c they don't mind playing in canada given their tax situation in europe where as US born players tend to have a mix of Canada teams and bottom teams. Just a hunch.

Also regardless of the package both CAR and PIT need more retained.

The hold up at this point is probably on retention regardless of the landing spot for EK. SJ won't eat much and i'm guessing finding a third team to eat cap for 4 years is proving difficult.

The value is better from the Canes. That being said, Grier would be taking the Pens package, considering that the Canes won’t even make the consideration of offering that package.

    My condolences.

In any event, I'm going to guess that you think Carolina offers the return here for EK65 than Pittsburgh.

Given that you're still whining and complaining over something that has no consequence over your life and your nickname is Hurricane Waddell.

    Mission Accomplished.
