What a terrible Marner trade.

You have to be high to think Brodie is worth anything more than a bag of pucks to the wild

While Marner is very good it doesn't make sense for the blues to trade for him. He only has 2 years left on his contract and the blues will not be good the next year or 2 as they rebuilding/retooling so getting him makes no sense

You're:

Not getting a 1st for Brodie
Not getting a 3rd for Giordano

and those two things alone, stop your rebuild with picks really. Which rebuild is semi defeated by the signing of older guys Ghost, Hathaway, Zucker, Saad, etc....

i was looking for a team who would be in the playoff hunt next year and could use a reliable 7D and la seemed like a great fit for that. as long as mclellan isn't like keefe and wants to play him 22 minutes every game he should be good

Well McLellan was hellbent on getting Edler 16 minutes a night for a stretch last season, so don’t hold your breath.
