Sergachev Trade Value amp Offer Sheet
I think the Bolts would want Vilardi, but I think if the Kings could net Sergachev without giving up Byfield, Vilardi, Turcotte or Kaliyev I’d consider it a good deal for Blake.

Barkov at the deadline
I don’t think Minnesota should be emptying the cupboards just yet. I understand the need for an elite center, but they’ve got Rossi. They’ve got Khovanov. They’ve got Khustnutdinov, McBain, Beckman, etc etc. Surely at least ONE will fit the bill. For now I think it’d be better off long term just sticking with the process for a year or two. There’s some key UFA classes coming up here too.

Makes me wonder what on earth Benning offered if Toffoli took a pay cut to go to Montreal.

I honestly expected Graves to sign for even cheaper, but still a fantastic contract.

Toronto Maple Leafs signed Jimmy Vesey (1 Year / $900,000 AAV)
Leafs are just going to start throwing players at their bottom six and seeing if they stick. Thought Toronto would be fine with what they had, but I guess Dubas has other ideas.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Bf3351</b></div><div>Too bad none of you know be is a actually the worst defenseman in the NHL.
I rather have Jack Johnson in my top 4 than Forbort in my bottom pair. This guy sucks ass and I had to watch him for 4 straight years. People wonder why Doughty "sucks" its because he was paired with this bum for almost 4 straight years. Doughgy is the only reason this guy ever had decent numbers. But watching him, get ready to see very stupid decision making, lots of turn overs, zero physicality, and lots of goals against when he's on the ice. He's the most frustrating player I've ever watched in my entire life. I rather watch peewee B than watch this guy. He belongs in the ECHL. How he remains in the NHL is beyond me. Probably bc of Doughty or made Joakim Ryan look like a top pairing dman last year.</div></div>
Pretty much everyone I know that’s a Flames fan hated him by the end of this season 😅

Unlike this year, 2021 is still sort of up in the air in regards to the number one prospect. Lots of people say Raty, but I could see Dylan Guenther sliding up to that spot. Sillinger, Power, Clarke, McTavish, Lucius, etc, are others to consider. Hopefully the WHL and OHL can get started soon so lots of these prospects don’t see their stock plummet.

Projecting Seth Jarvis career
Trust me, don’t get too swayed by massive plus/minus numbers in junior. Still remember when Sergei Zborovsky had a +72 in 16/17 and proceeded to do almost nothing the year after in the ECHL/AHL.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tryger</b></div><div>Kings are good, their cap space is their strength right now, next season I think it’s cool moving a first to get top line scoring or a top d man, but no sense in getting that player while the rebuild is going on. Also cap space next season will definitely be worth plenty to teams.</div></div>
I think if the Kings were to land a player that’s still relatively young (rumoured that the Kings have been involved in talks about Laine) they’d pull the trigger on it, though I don’t think the Kings have many chips to gamble with in a deal like that.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Ryminister_27</b></div><div>Moving Nylander for anything less than a top 4 d-man makes no sense for Toronto. Maybe start a package around Sean Walker and talks could start up. But prospects, picks and a third liner don't do much for them</div></div>
Not sure if the Leafs will be overly interested in a top 4 RHD, as it seems Lehtonen is destined for that role at the moment, but I’m sure the Kings could make Roy (Walker just signed a contract, not a great move to trade him) work if Clague is able to fill that 3RD slot if they REALLY wanted another defenceman.

Should the Kings offersheet Mikheyev
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PinkWhitney</b></div><div>I don't see how they can match anything over 1.5M.</div></div>
As <a href="/users/Jamiepo" target="_blank" rel="noreferrer noopener">@Jamiepo</a> mentioned above, the relationship Dubas and Mikheyev have likely points to him signing a lower-than-expected AAV. Johnsson and Holl are probably out the door here, so that opens more than enough cap for him. The 10% offseason cushion is really going to help Toronto.

Should the Kings offersheet Mikheyev
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>PinkWhitney</b></div><div>There's no more moves to be made with Toronto and LA.</div></div>
Regardless, an offersheet would essentially sever the good relation Blake and Dubas seem to have, not that Toronto wouldn’t match anyways.
Realistically that AAV probably has to be 3M+ for Toronto to not match.

Ottawa Senators signed Matt Murray (4 Years / $6,250,000 AAV)
The exception in this scenario is that Ottawa is still well beneath the floor, with few players likely demanding large paydays in the near future. It’s not favourable, but Ottawa almost needed to overpay in a way.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>tkecanuck341</b></div><div>Disagree. When Grans fell to #35, there was no way the Kings couldn't take him. I have been pretty adamant that the Kings needed to take a winger with the #35 if they drafted Byfield, but after seeing who was left on the board, Grans was the only decision.</div></div>
I was honestly ecstatic when Grans fell to 35. Winger depth needed aside, you don’t let a gift like him slip by.
