Explain why and how cossa is available, I'd love to hear this argument

Well for one I personally don’t think he’s any good at all. However, this is a need for Ottawa and I could see them asking for him. Secondly, he played in the ECHL this season… he’s not as untouchable as you may think 😂

Goaltending is also a need for Detroit, Cossa is only 20, maybe when he's 25 they give up on him.

What Ottawa needs is a better 1A if they are going to be the best team in Ontario. Someone like Ullmark if he's available.

Could you please explain how the value breaks down for that STL trade? Which part of your offer pays for Parayko and which part pays for Blais + a high-ish 23 3rd?

Detroit isn't gonna add one of their top prospects to a potential Cat trade. Kubalik and 17oa + a later pick is more likely

Cossa, Kasper, Edvinsson, 9oa won't be involved in a Cat trade.

Well I can certainly say that your take shows your blatant stupidity and misunderstanding of the NHL. I can only assume you’re a blindly hopeful Detroit fan (I hope otherwise it’s more sad) that you think Cossa is going to be an elite goaltender.

Exhibit A) He played behind one of the most stacked teams in recent WHL memory, hence his inflated numbers.

Exhibit B) At the WJC against better competition he was quickly dispatched as the starter before losing his backup job to a worse goalie in Brett Brochu.

Exhibit C) He had a .783 in the AHL…

Don’t go around calling others misinformed or stupid because you date players based on where they are drafted 🤣. Yzerman is a great GM and has made great picks; however, Cossa was a reach based on positional need and he is not the savior you make him out to be.

Exhibit B) At the WJC, Cossa was gifted the starting job because of his draft ranking, he quickly lost that because he was playing against better competition, and even lost the backup job to Brett Brochu (also not a good goalie).

Every level Cossa has risen to his game has faltered. Don’t go ripping people for their takes when you blindly think someone is the next coming of prime Patrick Roy based on where they were drafted.

If it were the case of someone like Dustin Wolf, who has dominated at every level he has played at and hasn’t hidden behind elite teams, then I’d listen to your argument. Until then, enjoy watching the Toledo Walleye pal.

I’m sorry if my difference of opinion offends you. The Hawks are committed to building internally until the prospects develop (or bust) then start acquiring talent from other teams/free agency later. I’m not particularly found of the Jones brothers, want offer a trade for them🧐
