I think you have overpaid Brown and for Hart

Ceci is a very serviceable 2nd pair D, Yamo is overpaid but only for 1 more year and is team control. You also get 2 1sts (Bourgault 1st equivalent) a young G with championship pedrigree and 2 2nds.

Right? I came to the comments section to complain about the Campbell dump not even being remotely close. But, then I saw that comment. That is an overpay for Hart by A LOT.

Also Oil eat $4M here. Hes contract can be bought out too, it's actually not that bad if you wanna go that route in 1-2 years. Getting him down to $4M AAV also makes him bury-able.

If he's overpaid now then he'll be even more overpaid when you qualify him. If not he walks for free and that's a wasted asset.

Hawks obviously decline. That Campbell contract takes the equivalent of at least two 1st's to dump if Oilers want the Hawks to even pick up the phone.

its not being a casual if you know the ****ty oilers are having cap issues and the players listed are a main source. stop trying to glorify what you listed as trade bait, otherwise youd fight for them, not dump them. The overall deal isnt bad for anyone just to clarify, but its easy to see what the main grasp/goals are.

i also think you could get a lot more for that Soup deal if you ask me.

Those players are not the cap issues, It's Nurse and a bunch of slight overpays that have added up. Thank you for pointing out the unsupportive Edmonton fans though too.

See some shtty Oilers fans. This is what you create by continuously trading your supposed favourite teams players like cap dumps. The worst fans with part timers in the NHL IMO. More likely to join in putting fellow fans and Oilers players down than defend them.

Flyers are trying to rebuild.
That means clear up cap space and get younger.
Which also meens they need players who will be good in a couple years.

All those players do nothing to get the Flyers moving forward. They get a bunch of contracts they don't need and players that are meeningless for them.

You'd have a better chance at getting Hart if you'd offer a Broberg, Bouchard or Holloway. No 1 is gonna trade a goalie entering his prime who is extremely skilled (just didnt show because of how bad Philly were) for a pile of unwanted players.

I think when you look at it since the oil are solid contenders, they might have to do a pair of firsts. They are going to be late, so it’s really not as valuable as face value…
