Coyotes have a ton of quantity all ready, they need diamonds or something rather shiny for Cooley and Keller if they go that direction.

Cooley is the projected 1C. They won’t part with him.

You know who was the last team that had 6 and 12 and was already deep at offence? Columbus last year. Wouldn’t shock me if Arizona took Reinbacher and Gulyayev/Simashev

I’m kind of hoping that michkov falls to 6 and reinbacher at 12, or benson or danielson. But ya the need is dman for sure. With the amount of size the coyotes have up front going forward, a little smaller skill would help too. Depending on budget, I go bpa at 6 and 12 and throw money at ufas to help the blueline if needed.

Not at all. Cooley is a full 3 years away from having UFA rights. The wings system is excellent on D, and woefully short on impact forwards. Everything yzerman would offer would center around quantity, which is the opposite of what Arizona needs. He’s going to sign anyways

I’d say #9, Kasper, Berggren or Wallinder is probably fair value…but don’t think it makes sense for either side. I’d use some of those pieces to try and move up to SJS pick #4 (Grier has shown he likes quantity with Meier deal and trade back from #11 last year).

Grier has shown he is good with quantity. He asked for Mercer in NJD deal (was told no) but otherwise good with multiple pieces. And his comments after 2022 draft foreshadowed that approach a bit…wanted to expand their prospect base.

If you jumped from #9, there is probably a plausible package using 2nds and/or prospects.
