I like it. I'd be aggressive with 1 yr deals instead to fill out the center depth. Blueger is a 4th liner and wouldn't be ideal to drive that 3rd line. POJ probably wins that starting job over Hirose, and for the better, given he and Johansson could get a full year in Abby together.

Nit picky but chances are if VAN offers this they ask for DET 2nd (41) DET counters VAN 2nd (43) and they settle on STL 2nd (42) so that as a benefit of moving up 6 spots the Wings don’t get two picks right before the Nucks pick.

That's a good question - and the answer is not really lol. Nothing against Garland - I think he's a good player. I just think this UFA class has a lot of forwards in that 4-6 million dollar range that can give us the production that Garland would, without us having to give up any assets to get them. So it would probably have to be a very Pens one sided offer for me to entertain it. Maybe like just only the 3rd round pick. But I'm also just some guy sitting in a cubicle so who knows what the Pens management would think.
