Description
Read the trade descriptions before commenting all crazy. In a perfect world we win the lottery and get Bedard and none of this means anything but that probably won't happen. This is my version of an ideal off-season to set this franchise on the right course.

This is just to show the compensatory pick we will get in 2024 for not signing O'Brien. I picked the Coyotes because they are irrelevant lol.

PHI
  1. Choix de 1e ronde en 2023 (LAK)
Détails additionnels:
Do I know what Hayes is worth? No. Do I care what Hayes is worth? No. Just get him off of my hockey team for whatever picks and prospects he is worth with 50% retained. I am tired of watching him play hockey looking like he couldn't care less.

Détails additionnels:
This may be too much for Provorov but if you retain 50% and make Provy a $3.5 million player that can be a high end 2nd line or low end 1st line defenseman then he is definitely worth a first and prospects for the right team. If Blues want to just retool this would be a smart move but if they are rebuilding obviously it wouldn't be.
STL
  1. Provorov, Ivan (3 250 000 $ retained)

  5. Choix de 1e ronde en 2024 (MIN)
Détails additionnels:
Flyers are looking to jump start their rebuild and unfortunately trading Hart would jump start that rebuild. Hart would probably go to a team ready to contend that has picks and prospects still that needs a goalie for the next decade even if MAF is there for 1 more year. Obviously trading for a goalie that will be your starter for the next decade will cost you so this is what I would be willing to trade Hart for.
5.
PHI
Assuming two teams hop Anaheim in the lottery and they finish 3rd in the draft. This will be the cost in my opinion to move up to 3rd. This would give the Flyers 1 of Bedard, Fantilli, Carlsson. Realistically it will be Carlsson which will give them a generational talent at center. Getting high end talent is the key to rebuilding and he will be a big part of that.

Minnesota has a good goalie for there future, which is Gustavsson. He had an amazing year IMO and is quite underrated based on what I seen(not a wild fan saying this)

What a crazy overpay for Hart. There is no logic at all saying Hart or any player is going to be a starter for one team for 10 years. Haven't you heard about free agency?
As suggested above, Minni has goalies, and really there are short term UFAs out there who are just as good as Hart.

Honestly I feel like the leafs could use a guy like prov - hes only like 27 right? still got some good years in him and if retained salary the leafs could make it work with picks and prospects

Anaheim is also in a rebuild and also looking for that elite talent, so the likelihood that we trade out of the top 4 is basically non existent.

I'm not saying we don't trade our first, but we move back to 4th at the lowest, and we don't trade the 1OA.

Don’t think Provorov would be a bad target for the Blues. But trading your top prospect, your #3 prospect who is already at the NHL level and is a heavy player along with a 1st is absurd.

Could see like NYR 1st/TOR 1st + Robertsson + cap (Krug/Leddy/Scandella) being of interest. It’s a risk as Provorov hasn’t been great the past couple of seasons. But I’d venture to guess a lot of it is the same syndrome Parayko has been going through of mismatched partners/usage.

Liked the player a lot when he was younger.

lolol, the blues are not paying that price for Provorov. He's not worth a 1st, a A grade prospect and another B/B+ tier prospect. Plus provorov has been disappointing these last couple years and he's not worth that price.

That sounds fair but without the retention then. Provy at 3.5 million is probably the best defenseman in the league for that price. The overpay was more about the retention to help fit him under the cap more so than the player he is.

Not trading the 1OA it clearly says the 3OA when 2 teams hop Anaheim in the draft lottery. I don’t think the offer is that far off if it is. Even if Leo Carlsson can be a generational talent, he isn’t yet meaning it’s still a gamble taking him so 3 first round picks is a lot.

Your comment is about as laughable as you being a Maple Leafs fan. I don’t know if you just don’t watch the Flyers or what but having Hart in net probably would get the Leafs past the first round for the first time in decades lol. Saying there are UFA’s as good as Hart is comical. Why haven’t Leafs gotten one of them yet to help out in net if they are everywhere? Hart is a Vezina caliber goalie on a good team with a good D in front of him. His numbers combined with the Flyers god awful defensive numbers prove that.

I understand the paper value might be there, but we need an elite winger. If we fall to three, we take Carlsson.

The best case scenario for you at that point is that Mitchkov falls to you, and we are willing to do a draft day deal to swap Carlsson for the offer you've proposed and take Mitchkov.

Yes but Danny B is in the hunt to jumpstart the rebuild and Hart is one of the most valuable pieces the Flyers have and everyone wants a young starting goalie that has proven he can be a top goalie. Flyers also have multiple goalies coming up through their system that could be the real deal too. If they want to jumpstart the rebuild they may have to bet that one of their goalies can replace Hart.

Carlsson isn’t worth Mitchkov + 2 first round picks that is just delusional. Not even Chuck Fletcher would be dumb enough to make that move.

And certainly any team can find a good NHL goalie at 4m, and keep most of their assets.

Hart may be very good but he’s still not Faber, Rossi and two 1sts good.

Also what does TOR have to do with anything here? Don’t need to get this defensive when someone just explains that Hart isn’t the guy.

Hey it happens. Some NHL fans can only hope that there is more noise regarding moving up or down in the draft like other major sports. Seems like NHL GMs are so scared to lose deals by moving up and down or making trades that there aren’t many big deals anymore. Thanks for your perspective though!

It doesn’t shock me that people who don’t watch the Flyers don’t know that Hart is that guy but not even Vasy or Shestery would look like they do on the Flyers. Hart coming in would change an entire organization’s chances at the cup if he joined. Goalies like him don’t hit free agency and aren’t up for trade that often and are definitely worth a big price. Whether that is 2 top prospects and 2 1st rounders is up for debate but he’s better than most hockey fans think. He is undervalued greatly because of the rest of the Flyers team.

Hahahahaha WHAT??? May be too much for Provy???

Bruh. You could remove any one of those pieces and the Blues hard pass. Tersely. I would not give one of those pieces for him. He hasn't been good in three years and his teammates don't like him. And on top of all that, where exactly are the Blues finding the cap for him?

Sorry, man. You should try extracting such grand assets for him from another team.

That’s where you’re wrong you keep thinking Hart is just some goalie and he’s not. He’s better than most and of course he isn’t guaranteed to do anything for a decade but nobody lets their franchise goalie hit free agency that’s laughable. I already said the proposal to Minny was just about a goalie going to a team ready to contend.

That’s fair for sure but let me ask you this? If you had to make the trade what would you give up for Provy? I mean especially at 3.5M retained you’re not getting him for a 2nd round pick. The dude plays an absurd amount of minutes a night and blocks shots at will. He hasn’t been a number 1 defenseman that’s for sure but he is still a high level 2nd line defenseman. So if you have the time I’m curious what you think would be a fair offer for him?

Omg the return for Hart was the laugh I needed today. Thank you for that!

Trading hart to the wild who have the Gus bus and the wall coming behind him for a top 4/top pair defensemen likely top 6C and 2 1sts is gross. That’s the type of return you’d give up for McDavid or Mathews, but a goalie…. . Hart would be vezina caliber behind a team like the wild, but so is Gus, soooooo yea. I mean maybe if fleury retired the wild would kick tires, but they’d never pay a fraction of this price. BG would get a reclamation project for a 4th rounder that could ride them over till Wallstedt is ready, which ironically is exactly what they got Gus as and that’s worked out so far.

i thought the flyers were sending 2-1sts and a 2nd with Hart for Rossi and Faber and i thought the wild would never make that trade.

then i realized which way the picks were going and realized this is a total joke and is a troll post.
