Um sir? Are you okay?

Why are we trading away so much for another goalie when we have BOTH Gibson and Dostal?

That's way to much to trade for Swayman. Now I like Swayman, but let's hold the reigns somewhat. He plays for the best team in the league. He is going to be "as good" playing for even an average team

Gaucher is gonna be the kind of player you need on your team to make a deep run in playoffs. He will be invaluable in the D-zone, on the PK, and in defending one-goal leads. Do not trade him please.

You're more likely to get Ullmark than Swayman from the Bruins.

Anaheim has no need for a goalie. You must be thinking of the OTHER SoCal team.

Given the current state of the right side of our defense, I'd make the other trade.

Bunting and Zegras, not only in the same locker room but the same line would be interesting to see that drama unfold... let's make that into reality TV 📺 🙌

I’m a bruins fan and that’s to much for Swayman, Brandon Carlo for Gaucher would help both teams. If the Ducks get the first or second pick and grab another center Gaucher may be a trade piece.

Definitely why he had a good year playing on the "10th" best team last season, right?

He carried an awful Maine program for 3 years, won a Richter for best NCAA goalie and was a Hobey Baker finalist for best player in NCAA hockey . He jump to the AHL where Boston doesn't have much talent due to a poor prospect pool and went 8-1-0 while posting a .933 SV% before posting a .945 SV% for Boston that same season he left Maine. Boston wasn't exactly a juggernaut when he came up and they were 3rd in their division (2pts ahead of the 4th place team). Last year Boston was a wildcard team and Swayman finished 13th in SV%, 5th in GAA.

Gibson is not good and should get traded in a heartbeat if we can get close to the value ppl on here suggest (and Dostal is still a bit of an unknown tho I think he'll be a stud)

Meh, he's easily replaceable, unless you're Ron Hextall it is super easy to bring in great defensive bottom 6ers that don't provide much offense (like Gaucher likely projects to be)

I just felt with the assets of the ducks the cap room and the age of the core that Swayman would be a good fit long term then trying to find a goalie in 4 years at the end of gibsons deal. That being said at the time I didn’t realize that Gibson was 29 I honestly thought he was more around 32.

He was fantastic the previous two seasons when the bruins were just solid. No chance in hell the bruins accept this.

Yeah I’m good fam, don’t know much about Dostal but his numbers aren’t good. And Gibson is up and down nice to have the best one two punch in the league and just have to give up some assets to get that also then you have swayman locked up long term

buddy, you are trading nearly 3 first rounders and some for a goalie who we do not need. This makes absolutely no sense for Anaheim in any world

A 33rd overall pick
A 65 overall pick
A first rounder in 25 which the ducks should be around a playoff spot if not in the playoffs
And a 22nd overall selected player who is looking at a year or two of AHL development who will have upside yes but Ducks have lots of prospects and picks. Take it from an ottawa fan half them end up rotting in the minors cause there are too many guys for only so many spots.

More or less think they need help on right side and a young d man who shows upside could be a good fit. Maybe a second is a bit high but it’s a nice deal and bostons 2nd in 24 will still likely be around a 55th-64th overall kind of pick.

Bruins just don't have the cap for both Ullmark and Swayman. Ullmarek and Hall with their M NTCs are really untradable. Gee, I don't how Bruins even match a 4.3m offer sheet that is only a second round compensation. Now if Swayman wants to wait two full seasons before "getting paid", by the Bruins, well that's his choice.

There is no need to get Swayman, Gibson Dostal will be an excellent tandem provided the defense in front of them can even be considered AHL instead of the beer league talent that was on the ice this season. That is also way to much to give up for a goalie when there are much more glaring issues elsewhere on the roster.

I'm going to disagree with @Manson on Carlo, I'd love to get him, but I don't see why Boston lets him go. I previously proposed Lundestrom and Vaakainen for Carlo and Reilly as a trade, seemed to be considered fair on both ends, but Boston doesn't have any RHD depth after the top 2.

I might do the Leafs deal, but I can't see why they do, he is performing very well on that minimum deal, he is the kind of player cap strapped teams keep around, at least until they need a raise.

Most importantly though, Keep Bunting the hell away from this team, he is not a top line talent, and he is a liability on the ice!

Oooh look, Corey Perry reuiniun tour, shiny.

I kinda disagree with every single assertion here:
1. Money can be moved around. It’s Jeremy swayman. He’s a priority. If its a choice between ullmark and swayman, swayman stays.
2. Ullmark and hall are definitely not untradable. Hall has a 10 team no trade list, 15 no trade list for ullmark. That’s nowhere close to impossible to work around.

1. They lose Jeremy swayman. He’s clearly on the very short list of guys that are part of the long-term core.
2. Do you think there’s anything here that’s interesting to boston? A 25 first doesn’t move the needle.

Dostal is a top 10 goalie prospect in the league (usually ranks around 6th if I recall correctly) and just started getting NHL time this year behind a defense that was legendarily bad, I would not read much into Anaheim goalie stats for this season.

We have a lot of prospects and picks, and moving them is fine, but we need to shore up positions of actual need. Shutdown defense, especially right side, top 6 goal scoring wingers, especially LW. We're good at Goalie, and we're good at Center, and we have all the puck moving defensemen we could ever want.
