CBJ pass. This is selling waaaaaaay low on Chinny.

Not to mention, this boils down to trading a B6 F for...an older and more expensive B6 F.

Two players who need a change of scenery pending your new coach. You can take our picks but 1v1 Made sense to me idk much about chinny just that his contract is cheap.

Please explain why Ching needs a change? Had an acceptable first year, was growing in his second and had a freak injury. He’s fine right where he is. Why does everyone want to poach Columbus’s Russian players? Just because we have a support system in place that makes them feel comfortable coming over here and aren’t scared to draft them everyone wants to poach once they get here.

interesting trade, hard to say if SJ accepts, I think yes? Benning and Brannstrom have similar offensive output now, but Benning is much better defensively and is bigger. Brannstrom is still young so has potential, and I think he fits better with San Jose's timeline. Benning is better now and on a good contract, but SJ isn't competing now so the contract doesn't really help and Brannstrom has more potential, so sure.

Brannstrom has exploded the last half and playing so well on both ends. Hes also excellent defensively. Tbh moving him is probably because we cant afford him but hes playing himself into a top 4 guy

He has 5 less points in 26 less games. He's four years younger, and has way higher upside and potential than Joseph. That makes no sense for CBJ.

Has he always been good defensively? Or just now. Either way, If he's playing well defensively then I think this is a definite yes from SJ as he's probably similarly good to Benning now, maybe already better, and he's younger and should only continue to improve. Yeah Benning has great value because of that contract. I was skeptical when Grier signed it originally, but at barely a million for a well-rounded 4th/5th defenseman is great value.

Brannstrom is much better defensively. Had an excellent defensive impact this season. Brannstrom is straight better, Ottawa shouldn't touch this.

Sharks pass, Benning is bigger and has term at a discount. Brannstrom hasn’t been that good in his short career. A good 15 game stretch won’t change that

Benning is better defensively for sure. Right now, Benning and Brannstrom are similar in skill imo, but I’d take it because of Brannstrom’s potential.

Benning’s contract is great but we probably won’t be seriously competing during his contract. I think Brannstrom is similarly good currently and should get better. He fits more with our timeline.
