It's highly unlikely that Montreal is playoff team next season so why give up multiple assets to get PLD? When he has been pretty vocal about his intensions to sign with Montreal at the end of next season.

Slafkovsky hasn't done much to warrant him as a good Top 6er yet or even Bonafide NHLer, I wouldn't be surpised if decide to take it slow and they start him in the AHL next season.

Defense is still very young, and looks prone too have a lot of turnovers, and this team isn't ready for a Carter Hart. The roster isnt filled with enough Talent or depth, especially in a very competive Atlantic. Hart can only win you so many games but it's not much different from Philly team wise. He won't change much. Goalies steal games in the Playoffs, Skaters and scorers get you to the postseason.

A pick in the #18 Range, and 2 meh young players doesnt change much for the Flyers imo. The idea of trading him is too kickstart the rebuild, hence it would take a fairly large return. Especially with the lack of true Starting Goalies in the NHL currently as Friedman mentioned.

No way LA accepts that. Xhekaj is a fan favorite not some elite defender, his ceiling is probably a #5. Durzi has a good bit of potential still.

Jets will get something. He’s worth a 1st and decent prospect at a minimum to a contender at the deadline, more at the draft, even more if he’s willing to sign long term, which at this stage, I believe to be more than just Montreal. He has repeatedly stated he wants to win and the Habs are still a while away from that. If a Colorado or NY gets a hold of him, that pretty well meets all of his wants, big market and contention.
