Problem is the Devils don't have their 1st in 2023, and their 1sts in 2024 and 2025 are tied up in the Meier trade conditions. That leaves their 2026 1st are the nearest one that is available for trade. At that point, the Canucks would probably rather look for a different team that can offer similar prospects along with a 2023 or 2024 1st instead.
