Buyout Nurse Three year window to win the Cup
If you do that you 99% lose McDavid and Draisaitl. Is it really worth it to not even have that great a chance at a cup for the next 3 years?

Calgary Passes: Anderson is a top RD on a cheap contract for 3 more years> Nylander is a UFA in 1. Mangiapane > Half retained on Brodie who we didn't resign
Anaheim is rebuilding, why give up your future Matthews for the current one?
Arizona cannot afford to pay the players it has right now. They have over 21MM in LTIR contracts just top reach the cap floor. Those are insured (so they don't need to pay them actual money). There is a reason they are in a perpetual rebuild.</div></div>
I put that Nylander signs an extension as part of the trade

If you look at Marner's salary its less than his cap hit.

Leafs re-tool
<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>GiggywithGibby</b></div><div>He's too far ahead on the timeline, and in my mind, he is too expensive. I'd rather take my chances with McTavish signing around $8 million than Matthews for 12-13.
I say this in spite of the fact that I am sure in a small market away from the Media that he could unlock that extra gear and actually be a playoff performer.
And with the knowledge that a move like this is a major investment in Gibsons prime.</div></div>
Wouldn't you rather have a 50 goal guy who's been one of the better defensive forwards over the last couple years at 13M over the chance of McTavish even becoming an 8M player? Not too mention, Matthews has the name brand to fill seats and sell jerseys and bring in more money for the franchise than MacTavish and Zellweger would. This seems like an underpay for Matthews.

<div class="quote"><div class="quote_t">Quoting: <b>Hockey_Mind</b></div><div>LOL, but what is he now? He's aging and declining. A 2C at best, for maybe one more year. With Panarin you have a top LW for several years to come, and he's locked up whereas Kuz is about to expire.</div></div>
The only teams that would want Panarin are small market teams that want to make the playoffs. No contending team is going to have interest in him.

Projecting their insecurities lmao? All I did was state a fact. Youre the one coming on here belittling everyone only to be totally wrong. Nothing screams being insecure more than being condescending and a douche on the internet. Also I been to 5 coyotes games this year when is was there for a trip, so I think I know that Vajmelka is a good goalie and I have the stats to prove yet while you have nothing to prove your point other than "you dont watch the games bro".

Same with "watching the games", people love to use that but then ignore that other people form different conclusions based on eye tests.
Bottom line is vejmelka is not a significant piece to get matthews and this trade agm js awful</div></div>
Dude I know Matthews is worse more, I just dont bother adding more cause I dont want people on here crying and coming at my head for overvaluing Matthews. Its just for fun idk why people like you take posts on this forum so seriously.

If Samsonov played on the Yotes and was constantly getting shelled instead of playing on a top 10 defensive team he would probably have worse stats. I dont think its some coincidence he started too look like a good goalie once he went to a good defensive team. But you know what, lets say youre right and Samsonov > Vajmelka, you still claimed Vajmelka wasn't a starter and that he doesnt have good results or put up okay numbers but youre clearly wrong on that and I gave proof.

He ranks top 15 in underlying goalie stats. Is that a good reason or you just gonna ignore them cause they dont fit your narrative?
