Alright, so the bruins trade their top PK forward for nothing, downgrade the top four, and give up their top prospect, a first, and a second….why?

Team gets worse short and long term. Pretty brutal, no?

Nosek is not their top PK forward. Bergeron, DeBrusk, Coyle all better. Nosek adds nothing to the lineup, he's slow and sluggish. They've been wanting Frederic in that 4C role for years and now it looks like he's going to be able to run with that role. Jack Roslovic is a great add to the top 9, Lysell is trash and isn't going to pan out, and Grzelcyk is not a guy you win in the playoffs with. His +/- last year in the playoffs was the 2nd worst in Bruins history, behind Don Sweeney. Gavrikov is big, bullish, and a stud. This trade rounds out the bruins in all facets.

Then why does he play more than any other forward on the PK? Do you think Montgomery stinks at his job? Why did the PK go from 1st in the league when Nosek was in the lineup, to 26th when he’s out of the lineup?

What on earth would make you think they want frederic in the 4C role? They’ve put him on the third line wing and he, and the line, have thrived when together. If anything they look for any opportunity to juggle the lineup to get those three back together.

It’s ridiculous how bad that take on Grzelcyk is. He was bad in the playoffs last year…playing with one arm. However he and McAvoy have made arguably the best D pair in the league over the last three years. Gavrikov by comparison has kinda sucked since 2018-19. Have you watched him play? What about him being pinned in his own end constantly do you like?

Have you seen lysell play one shift in the AHL?

You think Roslovic and Gavrikov for Grzelcyk and Nosek makes the team worse?

What is up with people these days? Apparently any sort of disagreement equates to trolling? Also, you may notice, pretty much everyone on those ACGMs was saying similar things. I didn’t say protect those guys at all costs, but just willfully downgrading is foolish. Penalty kill is important. Don’t give away the top PK forward for nothing….kinda makes sense, no? Don’t just happily make the top four worse while giving away all the teams valuable futures…also makes sense, no? If you’re talking chychrun, maybe you have a case, but gavrikov doesn’t add anything of value to this club.

Are you trying to win the Stanley Cup with this roster, or just kick rocks around? Zach Parise isn't an upgrade on anybody and you want to give up a 3rd and a 4th for him?!

Nothing more exciting than bringing in Bjugstad and Schenn to be scratches! Coyotes don't take that trade - Smith has zero value and a 3rd round pick isn't nearly enough to get them to take him. Mason Langenbrunner is essentially a healthy scratch at Harvard and a favor pick to the worst development coach in the league - Jamie Langenbrunner.

I actually like the Schenn trade and agree with you that he isn't good enough to crack the top 6.

But instead of these wildly underwhelming moves that don't impact anything, why not make the team better?
