watch out. Cgy fans think Wolf is the second coming and they see him as untouchable.
Too bad they don't realise how 'tenders seldomly mirror AHL production into the NHL level.

totally agree man. And seriously I get why Cgy loves the guy. But...lol, ppl get very passionate.
He's still a prospect, and its super hard to judge where he'll be. Maybe that's why goalies are never traded at that stage.
Anyways...I think he and Hoffer are top 2 G prospects.

I think that vision is skewed because there hasn’t been a deal for Wolf on here that hasn’t included Edmunson or Anderson coming back to Calgary which makes zero sense for their top prospect.

I made a deal maybe 5 days ago, which was pretty much Jordan Harris for Wolff.
Flames fans wrecked it, one of your bunch replied Sean Ferrell + 2023 1st rounder to reiterate how crazy my idea was....
So, I stick to my first statement.
Anyways, I like him, I think he'll be good. But there is still an element of risk there.

I didn’t go that far back, nor check every deal but that’s the majority! Always is with goalies. I get your point

Serious Q: What would we Trade Wolf to MTL for though!?

A 1st + a Decent Prospect!? Is that a 2023 1st and is it Top-10 Protected or no!?

Same goes for Matthew Coronato, so he remains Teammates with Sean Farrell

Also, Who’s more valuable to you Wolf or Coronato!?

I mean if MTL knows what they want and are willing to pay a premium or what most would consider an over pay, why wouldn’t we consider it?

We all know how Goalies can be hot and then all of sudden not. Coronato is a great prospect, but he doesn’t have the ideal size and both being American 🇺🇸, historically that hasn’t exactly worked out well for us in the end: Adam Fox, Johnny Gaudreau, Matthew Tkachuk…

We have a quality former 75th Overall Goalie with ideal size in Vladar, who is just 25, has experience and therefore far more mature. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited about Wolf, but at just 21 still, he’s probably still quite brittle and/or vulnerable to confidence issues

Great Prospects, but questions remain, so if there’s anybody we should consider selling high on, it might be these 2 Guys to MTL and have them put their $$$ where there mouth is

I don't really believe in the whole "keep your junior teammates together" thing, habs fans have been trying to sell Drouin to Colorado for years simply on his junior success with Nate.

As for Wolf, I would say he's almost completely unavailable. Due to how hard it is to get a promising goalie prospect you should pretty much never trade one when you have one (ie the tuuka rask trade). I would probably want Florida's 1st and one of their higher end prospects though if push came to shove. A team would have to pay enough that it stings

You’re not going to get a 1st for Monahan. You’ll be lucky if he comes back and stays healthy long-enough to even Trade him. (Why do you think we jumped on Kadri and paid MTL to take Monahan? He’s injury prone and they’re the type of injury that are difficult to adjust too and come back from)

Nobody will be interested in Hoffman at his Cap Hit and having an additional year’s term

Edmundson’s career is pretty much done & over. The cats out of the bag, his back is shot and he’ll continue to be injured over & over & over….

You wanna do a deal!? Convince Lucic to waive his NMC and we’ll take Dadonov or Drouin back with no retention.

Finally, you should get more in return for Christian Dvorak. He’s strong defensively, so an ideal 3C. Definitely won’t be a 1st though

Exactly on Wolf. Make us an offer we simply can’t refuse, otherwise please don’t mention it.

I do believe in Friendship, Continued Chemistry and Proximity to Home as contributing factors to a Player being Happy, Comfortable and Sticking Around Long-Term, but if you look for the pieces you need first and foremost.

I guess Farrell & Coronato have been together and known each other for like forever…

Obviously i wouldnt want either of those prospects traded unless the habs or another bottom team overpays or something. But id expect a 1st and a top prospect in return. Or we could add assets and gain someone like Caufield (hypothetically)

Please start sending Monahan to Carolina. Some of their fans seem to have interest in other threads, the Avs shouldn't.
