A 34-year old goalie, on an expiring contract, that's putting up pretty "meh" numbers doesn't return you a 1st Round Pick and a prospect. LA would only be picking up roughly $1.6M in cap space this season as well. Can't see the Kings entertaining this kind of offer

Way too rich from the Isles POV, I think you can get Dufour and a 1st to start. Then add in other pieces (Beauvillier? Salo?) We don't need the retention. Raty is off limits IMO or he is the centerpiece and not much else goes SJS's way

I can see circumstances under which we'd pay our 2024 second for Reimer.

Petersen isn't a cap dump because there's no need to move him. So all this talk of having to send our 2023 first with him (you're not close to being the first to advance this idea) is nonsense.

If LA is desperate to move Petersen, they’ll just buy him out. They’re not at that place yet. They might just replace Quick next season if he won’t resign at a discount.

Otherwise this is completely unnecessary with the cap going up next season.
