Description
I do understand some of these players may be untradeable, im just saying who I’m interested in and what the value may be to acquire them.

Players I have the most interest in:
PLD
Garland
Bennett
Jeannot
Granlund
Lindholm
Chytil

I tried to look at many players with many different values. Ideally this player would be slotting on the 3rd line RW with 2 of Coyle Hall/Zacha.

Without Lysell, Lohrei or Carlo being involved. Boston doesn't have the pieces to acquire most of those players.

For a few reasons, I don't think the Blues and B's make for good trading partners right now.

Out of all 3 of those guys Carlo is the only untouchable at this current moment for me

1. Why?
2. He’s a player that at least makes sense for boston to target.

1. The Preds adore him, and he's a rare type of player like a Tom Wilson. Zero percent chance they move him whether they keep fooling themselves into thinking they're competitive, or if they do a 180 and rebuild.

2. I guess that's a point of debate better suited for the OP.

Well just to let you know, he’s stopped shooting 20% and looks more like a 3rd line grinder than Tom Wilson.

Does the Preds organization care? No. They still love him and would never trade him. Only NSH player on the list the author sent out that would probably be available at the deadline would be Tolvanen. I just hope the Preds don't trade him though. Love the player

Sure. You can love the player, but it’s not like the press are good, nor does it look like they’ll be getting better in the next few years. What if he got a goodrow like offer?

Gotta agree with defence first, Jeannot may have the same style of Wilson but is no where as defined or as dominant as Wilson is.

Jeannot had a good rookie season but his consistency isn’t there and that showed at the end of 21-22 and in playoffs and is now showing this season.

He’s purely a 3rd line power forward with a nasty streak if Nashville was offered a 1st and maybe a lower tier prospect they would be stupid to turn it down especially since they aren’t looking to be making a run this year. Would also free up a roster spot for Tomasino to come up as they are ruining his development leaving him in the A

No one ever thought his 20% was sustainable, just like his current % isn't sustainable either. NSH struggling as a whole, and the linemate blender have been the biggest reasons for his lack of point production this year. Still playing hard and doing all the right things.

Preds fans don't want to entertain offers on him and you don't want him for the Bruins anyway, so let's move on.

I absolutely want him for the bruins. I think that would be an awesome trade target that’s just what they need.

Preds fans can have their binky, but management isn’t crazy. They know they aren’t good. No ones calling about duchene and Johansen. Jeannot is one of the guys that they could move and get a very good return on. I think he could be the kind of guy where fans are left saying, “wait, some team gave up a first round pick for a guy with 6 goals and 4 assists?” Much like what happened with Goodrow and Tampa.

Ah, sorry. I initially misread the 2nd point from your initial post as meaning he was the trade target from that list that you were the least interested in.

It's actually Preds management that's even higher on Jeannot than the fans. We all initially thought Poile was crazy for using a protection spot on him during the expansion draft. I'd also sadly disagree with your comment about the Preds management knowing they're not good. Stellar goaltending has always fooled this team into thinking they're stronger than they are. As soon as that goaltending falters slightly, the Preds nosedive hard.

Even if Poile did face the inevitable and tear it down, Jeannot is young enough to re-sign to some term and keep around for their next competitive cycle. I could see Trenin - an even bigger body who plays the same style as Jeannot - being available in a sell-off though.

Not the first time I've seen this argument about Jeannot of late, and it always strikes me as funny that it's not the past 20 games that's the anomaly with his production, but the rest of his career up to that point.

Pretty fair point regarding management.

I still think it would be really hard to say no if a team offered a first. Chances are right now is when the player will have the most value.
