I absolutely want him for the bruins. I think that would be an awesome trade target that’s just what they need.
Preds fans can have their binky, but management isn’t crazy. They know they aren’t good. No ones calling about duchene and Johansen. Jeannot is one of the guys that they could move and get a very good return on. I think he could be the kind of guy where fans are left saying, “wait, some team gave up a first round pick for a guy with 6 goals and 4 assists?” Much like what happened with Goodrow and Tampa.
Ah, sorry. I initially misread the 2nd point from your initial post as meaning he was the trade target from that list that you were the least interested in.
It's actually Preds management that's even higher on Jeannot than the fans. We all initially thought Poile was crazy for using a protection spot on him during the expansion draft. I'd also sadly disagree with your comment about the Preds management knowing they're not good. Stellar goaltending has always fooled this team into thinking they're stronger than they are. As soon as that goaltending falters slightly, the Preds nosedive hard.
Even if Poile did face the inevitable and tear it down, Jeannot is young enough to re-sign to some term and keep around for their next competitive cycle. I could see Trenin - an even bigger body who plays the same style as Jeannot - being available in a sell-off though.

Jeannot had a good rookie season but his consistency isn’t there and that showed at the end of 21-22 and in playoffs and is now showing this season.
Not the first time I've seen this argument about Jeannot of late, and it always strikes me as funny that it's not the past 20 games that's the anomaly with his production, but the rest of his career up to that point.
