As for Nyquist, we have enough problems with getting rid of Drouin-Dadonov-Hoffman. Except if a team put a high paid winger on LTIR until season's end (like washington), contenders have no capspace to add salary.

it would give them a 2nd which is already more than Dvorak is worth, get them out of that not so great contract and give them a retain/flip at TDL kind of player. It's exactly what MTL would be looking for. Hughes didn't make that horrible trade, he has no personal attachment to keeping Dvorak at all costs

worst case if you somehow cant flip him he expries at the end of the year and you've already gotten more than enough value with a 2nd round pick

Maybe we see Dvorak go to Colorado at TDL if the cost of acquisition is reasonable, the projected cap increase should be more clear at that time.

Who knows maybe a deal involving Dvorak+Monahan for Dubois could transpire if WPG is in the position to take on potential rentals.

Dvorak is doing everything good on the ice, but he’s playing with Gallagher and a bad LW (Hoffman Drouin or Dadonov). He carries that line on his back so they aren’t -25

Nor is it close to what they would get - probably a 3rd round pick.

Jackets don’t need dvorak or to be trading picks. They will half retain on Nyquist and get futures
