Chychrun can’t really play his off side, and the sens shouldn’t trade Pinto for him anyway.

Pinto is worth more than Chychrun and then trading for Drouin would be a huge downgrade for the third line.

Not a good idea for either trade.


Where is it said that he doesn't play well on the RD? I haven't heard this anywhere, and with Chabot and Sanderson at LD if this was true, then there would be no way the Sens would have been shwing interest in the first place. If OTT trades for him it is ONLY to play RD.

Im sorry but I disagree with almost everything you said here.
1. Pinto is certainly not worth more, that's like saying Pinto is worth as much or more than Chabot
2. If they acquire Chychrun he could certainly be playing on the left side this year. Especially if Brannstrom is involved. You run Zub, Hamonic, JAD/Holden down the right side and shelter Sanderson who almost certainly needs more time before jumping into a top 4 role on a bubble team

Any deal involving Chychrun would have Zaitsev going the other way for salary reasons. Pinto isn't off the table, but I don't think Dorion is willing to trade him because he would lose his best amateur scout as well, who threatened to resign if they didn't snag Pinto in the 2nd round in 2019.

I think, if push came to shove, they'd be okay with giving up Greig in the package. However, I'm 100% sure they will just throw a bunch of prospects at ARI.

I think if JBD plays he will be mentored Chychrun and Harmonic will help mentor Sanderson. It's important to note that just because a player is on the "3rd pair" doesn't mean they cant play 20+ minutes a night. Sergachev is a great example of this. Martinez is also similar here
