Mantha’s low points are due to injury and he found a home on the 2nd line this year, Dadanov fails to be anything more than an expensive 3rd line winger which Washington already has plenty of, and the thought of Washington adding a 1st to a trade they already are getting bent over in for value is ludicrous.

Offense isnt everything guy.

Mantha was acquired for Vrana, Panik, a 1st and a 2nd.

Danonov was acquired for free.

There’s no reality that the latter is worth a 1st round pick more than the other.

Attach your 1st to JVR and let’s do it

1. I like the Dvorak trade makes sense. I don’t think any salary would be Retained.
2. The JVR contract isn’t moveable anymore. 7M? Nope. Not moveable.
3. Why in the world would Washington trade Mantha for Dadanov not to mention they are also giving up a first round pick!
4. Why would Edmonton trade Barrie and a 1st round pick for Joel Edmundson.
5. Anaheim doesn’t want JVR.

Why would the Flyers give up a first to dump a guy when they don’t need to. Ellis will be on LTIR and they might as well hold onto JVR to flip for assets at the deadline. Bottom feeders don’t spend high draft picks to dump contracts

How do you get a first for taking on JVR yet trade him somewhere else with nothing attached for future considerations?

Because we still probably demand a 1st round pick to eat that contract and have no intention of shipping off any futures for any rental.

But you could flip the bird to Montreal and deal directly with us, you'd see him less that way.

Flyers wouldn't trade JVR now for that anyway. They aren't competing for **** and his cap comes off the books at the end of the year. Maybe even sooner at the deadline.

Salary would have to be retained for it to work in the Avs trade or the Avs can't fit Dvorak.
