Calgary trade is pretty fair but B's can't afford tkachuck most likely.

Van trade is a no go a mix of futures and miller doesn't make sense either commit to full rebuild or don't. I also think miller is severely overrated and do not want him being the number 1 piece in a pasta deal. rathbone also is becoming the LHD equivalence of studnicka so not much value there.
I'd consider a deal of like 15OA+Hoglander+Podkolzin+ 23 1st top 3 protected and we take on myers contract full price for them.

Devils deal is nice but i'd prefer holtz or mercer+ 23 3rd instead of Mukhamadullin and 23 1st

LA deal is also very nice but im not sure if they would give up back to back firsts maybe a deal like Byfield+19OA+ Durzi or Vilardi+ would make more sense to them

You'll need Pasta to agree to an extension as well with any of the new teams and that could cause problems, especially with Canadian teams.

No way teams give up this much for 1 season of pasta. You’re asking for the equivalent of 3 1st rounders+ when he has just a year left. He would be the one who has to agree to an extension.

all trades assume there is a reasonable extension in place

Flames trade makes no sense for either team. Skill wise its a complete wash and neither player will want to go through a rebuild with Boston long term.

Sign and trades are not a thing in the NHL, very rarely do teams get more value due to the acquiring team extending them

Trade is terrible for Vancouver. Pastrnak isn’t that much of an improvement on Miller. Makes no sense for Van

Doesn't make sense for Van unless Pastrnak signs for a lot less than Miller would sign. Either way JT Miller, Hog and the 1st is a lot more valuable than Pastrnak in my opinion.

If Pastrnak was on a 4 mill cap hit for the next 8 years going into this deal, every team would accept. The problem is he isn't, and he also is not going to re sign for cheap either I would suspect. In reality, instead of a value of three first rounders, he probably goes for something like a 1st, a good prospect, a 4th line roster player, and maybe a low level prospect, from a contending team. For van that would probably be 2022 1st, podkolzin, dickinson and a random prospect, if he is re-signed, but since he is a pending UFA and van isn't contending, his value is close to nothing for them.

Sweeney has expressed interest in resigning, JP Barry said they will meet with Sweeney early July to talk extension. Im not saying 88 wont get traded, but their negotiation period i believe opens up after the draft, so unless 88 explicitly expresses he wont resign no matter of the number i think the 2022 draft picks would be off the table.

you dramatically overrate miller lol, guy has 1 90 point season and he becomes some top 15 player in the league get out of here. Pastrnak has been a top 10 winger for the last 5 years, miller is barely a top 10 LW and he isn't even in the top 15 for centers. Miller will not perform like he did this year again, guy scored 40% of his points from PP anyways

maybe not 2 1sts but definitely hoglander 15OA and Podkolzin. Plus you will have to pay to move myers full price, myers is also not a top 4 dman on a competitive PO team he at best should be your 5th dman, ain't no one taking a 5th dman at 6mill for free. I hear a lot of canucks fans say he looked good this year no he looked average it's just canucks have a bunch of pylons on their defence outside of Hughes who is just slightly above average defensively now

Podkolzin should be a non starter for the Canucks. Pastrnak doesn’t really make sense for us, but if he were willing to sign an extension I’d be willing to trade for him. Would probably have to trade Miller to a separate team first and use some of the assets there as I’m sure Boston would want futures. But 15 OA and Hoglander could be two pieces involved, but whoever headlines a Miller trade would probably be involved

As for Myers, sure he’s overpaid, but he was still pretty solid on the second pair last year. It doesn’t make sense for the Canucks to trade assets to move his contract. Would rather retain 1-1.5M and get a mid round pick. And also despite his horrible contract OEL was actually quite good as well last year, but you’re right our dcore is pretty terrible

here is something that could work so lets say miller is moved no retention that helps canucks cap problem so they don't need to move myers for assets. If Podkolzin is unavailable then would maybe something along the lines of
Hoglander+ 15OA+ Garland+ either Rathbone or Mcdonaugh/Klimovich+ 23 2nd? I think i value garland slightly more then miller just due to his contract and his age fitting more into B's timeline of competing 4-5yrs from now if they go full rebuild/retool these next 2 years.

The difference between the two is not Hoglander Rathbone and the 15Oa. Pasta is a rental. The chance of him signing in Vancouver is slim. This would be a terrible trade. Get a grip

As much as I would absolutely love Pasternak, I personally have two players that should not be traded and those two guys would be Byfield/Clarke. Kaliyev would be another guy only because I’d want the Pasternak kaliyev combo on the same line and for PP purposes.

But it’s Pasternak, so there’s that

here is something that could work so lets say miller is moved no retention that helps canucks cap problem so they don't need to move myers for assets.

If the Canucks were to acquire Pastrnak I assume they’d be trying to contend, so not sure if they move Garland I feel like Garland + 15 OA + Hoglander should be enough value wise for Pasta with an extension, although there’s a chance I’m overvaluing the Canucks pieces/undervaluing Pasta.
