If they can find a 1A goaltender, a good defensive partner for Power and upgrade 1 forward in the top 9 yes. They have a good shot. They have cap space too so it’s pretty good
I think they need 2 more top LINE forwards honestly. They don’t have a guy I would classify as a top line guy right now (I think Cozens and Quinn will become that, but I don’t think Quinn achieves it next year, Cozens might though, I think it’s more likely they play at a 2nd line and middle six role respectively next year). Guys like Thompson (if he’s not a 1 hit wonder), Skinner (if he doesn’t have a down year like he usually alternates), and Tuch seem like 2nd liners to me, and then Olofsson could debatably be 2nd or 3rd line quality (Okposo is playing 3rd line quality this year, but I don’t believe he’ll keep it up next year based on his age and history). And then they also need at least 1, maybe 2 top 4 D (Dahlin and Power on the left, I don’t think you consider a top 4 with those two, Samuelsson, and Jokiharju a true top 4 though, that’s like a 1D and 3 #4s, plus they’re all super young). And a goalie, they have 3 good ones on the way, but none that will be a 1A next year. And they shouldn’t throw it all away by overspending on like, Kadri/Manson/a goalie (Korpi? Holtby?) in UFA. They will be good, but not next year. I think Ottawa is further along in the rebuild, and there are still 4 strong Atlantic teams, and Boston’s the only one that might falter (if Bergeron retires or something).
