You would really give up Heinola just to move up 6 spots? I’m not a Jets fan so I’m not fully aware of the future of the team but isn’t Heinola projected to be good?

i don’t know that it’d be worth it for the jets to move heinola just to move up a few spots. if they need an RD maybe they could sneak into the back half of the 1st round or trade down and get casey. i think he’s underrated.

Why does Ottawa want Heinola? They are so deep on LD already

I think are people giving up on ville he was easily better than Stanley and simply moving out Dillon in the off-season would open up a spot for him

No reason for Ottawa to be looking at moving down, definitely not if the compensation is Heinola. If they wanted him they would have taken him at at pick 19 instead of Lassi but they left him for Winnipeg at 20. Not to mention the fact that the strongest position on the team is LD. Where would he fit in with Chabot, Sanderson, Brannstrom, Holden, MDZ all signed for next season on the left side?

He is already good. In fact he was analytically the best AHL dman this season. It's just the Jets organization and their poor development stopping guys from being good. Just look at how good are Copp, Laine and Roslo doing in their new teams

Jets are absolutely stacked at LD. I like Heinola and really do think he’s been dealt a raw deal in Peg. He’s looked really good in the outings he’s had, he’s a few warts but consistently gets better with more ice time, but we really are missing a top pairing RD and I think Jiricek fits the bill of exactly what we need

Fully agree, but we are talking about the Jets management who seems to have soured on him. I mean when they sit him in the PB for 4 weeks something has to give.

I could see Ottawa doing that if Brannstromm goes, Del Zotto stays in the AHL and if you included a young RE that is somewhat close to be NHL ready. I would do it for Rashkin guy and Heinolla if Lekkerimaki is still around. Cause Heinola wouldn’t be bad and would make an already stacked D core insane. Also if Nazar is there or Kendall.



So I’d do it for Heinlla, 13 OA, and Rasehevski,

or Lucius, 13 OA, and Chisholm,

or If Winnipeg got weird Lucius, 13OA, and Heinolla but that’s not happening
