Description
looking at guys on expiring RFA contracts having similar seasons as Debrusk.

I would keep expectations low in respect to what Debrusk's return value would be. I really don't see a lot of situations where Debrusk could be a part of a big package deal for a rental unless it involves 1st round picks and some of the Bruins better prospects because it doesn't seem like he has a ton of value and not that many teams seem that interested in him. At this point it seems he'll be moved at the deadline because if not the Bruins will just move on from him in the offseason for nothing.

Let me know if you think someone else has value close to debrusk and you think is a possible trade candidate.

See no incentive for Detroit to do this. I'd much rather stick with 3 years younger Zadina.

Detroit doesn’t consider that 1 for 1, Chicago doesn’t either imo

Only one I can really see is the SEA deal.

CHI, DET, and NSH are overpays.

COL and WSH likely can't afford his contract next season.

Like i said probably a stretch taking in to account Zadina being cheaper and younger but as far as the actual talent level and career production it seems like Detroit is waiting for something that isn't going to happen with Zadina just because he was a top 10 pick. I don't think either player will ever be what they were hyped up to be.

there is no reason for any team not going into the playoffs to even consider a trade for him.
We both know BOS isn't going to resign him on his QO. Every BOS fan would probably be pissed if they did.
So why is a non playoff team rushing out there to get him. They aren't.
He has no value to them at TDL. If they want him they'll get him in FA, as none of them want to deal with that QO either.

I never said anyone was rushing to get him your right has very little value but possibly a team could fork over a 3rd at the deadline for a playoff run and then not qualify him in the offseason but if the bruins just let him walk it just looks bad, just exploring other options

Zadina has looked fantastic as of late. People writing him off aren't looking at the whole picture: 22 years old still and all 3 of his first 3 seasons were impacted by a global pandemic, coming over from another country AND has not been managed right by the coaching staff.

I genuinely believe he's going to finish the season strong and prove everyone wrong.

Kunin is probably best option here rest of them I could honestly do without, Zadina is possible but meh, Kubalik is good but your basically going to pay what everyone else will pay and just throw in debrusk to make your deal a little sweeter.

Honestly BOS best option is probably either throw in some picks with JD to get another comparable player, I personally like the idea of PIT Kapanen. Throw in whatever picks they want to make it happen. This makes most sense to me as bruins could use a RW over LW and I’m guessing Kap is going to want 3-3.5m a year like his current contract in the off-season so JD isn’t much more
Or trade him for younger player that doesn’t have as high of projection and hope to get lucky that he turns out better then predicted (don’t see sween doing this as he has said he wants a roster player to help current team, which I don’t understand cause it not like we can’t just replace him with blidh IMO)
I like an idea of Kravtsov from NYR as they could use little scoring depth help for run and Kravs value is low right now cause of the whole leaving to KHL thing, throw in a pick to make NYR fans happy

I don’t know what the penguins would see in debrusk to think he’s an upgrade over Kap rangers trade might make more sense

Tage Thompson took awhile to figure it out and look at him now. Zadina might be traded eventually but Yzerman isn't giving him away just for the sake of trading him.

It’s not that it’s an upgrade, it’s a lateral move, but BOS would throw in a pick probably take a 2nd, would rather a 3rd but not sure if that be enough with bruins picks being late. But the extra pick is what it makes it happen, debrusk is just a filler with the potential that if you can turn him around and get his scoring back to where it was a couple years ago you could flip him in a year or two for another 2nd. Pens have the cap to take a gamble where Boston really doesn’t. And BOS needs a 2RW so could give Kap a chance on a top line to see if he could up his production.

But honestly I’d rather the NYR trade, think it would be easier to facilitate and would honestly rather take a chance on krav. Although the bruins don’t like Russians for some reason

If the Bruins could get Kunin or Kubalik for DeBrusk, they would have by now
