Description
Carey Price was the solution when they had the 4th pick and selected Puuljuparty . Carey Price is still the solution . Mtl retains , get a bunch of terroir products and absord Kassian cap as well and flip him before he flip onto a tree again .

Forget about all the theater around the guy . Who do you think brought the Canadian out of EXACTLY where they are now ?

Leon and Connor will thanks me later when they'll hoist the cup .
Makes me think of Roy trade . Trade and cup .

How is a goalie who looks less and less likely to play a single game this year the solution?

While no Price trade makes sense given the current situation, I do appreciate the image of Price just sitting in the goal crease like a teddy bear, while pucks just bounce off him.

No we don't need a goalie . Actually that would be the worst thing ever . We need to build by the draft from defence to offence and THEN think about fixing goalie .

I mean the Habs still haven't lost to their own AHL zamboni driver so we haven't hit rock bottom yet.

Still might stop more shots than smith has in his last 5 appearances.

I honestly don’t think price is the answer to Edmontons issues anyways. His regular season performances for the past couple years has been koskinens level. Yeh price has been fantastic in the playoffs but their current goaltending looks like it’s going to come short of getting them there.

Well at least Chiarot is capable of playing playoff hockey, unlike ANY Leafs player since they haven't got out of the 1st round in almost 20 years!

I wouldn't get too mouthy there Jared, how has your All-Star goalie played thus far in 2022? I will tell you, he is sporting a 0.871 S% and a 3.00 GAA through the first 9 games ( that only takes into account from Jan 1st to Feb 1st). I would say that the Leafs are also in need of a goalie who can be counted on when the games start to matter. Can we say Freddie 2.0?!

Yeah, he's going through a rough patch, happens to good goalies. But the leafs just won 7 in a row without him playing well and the habs have one more win than that all season without their goalies playing well.

LMAO, you just compared Campbell to 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th string goalies. Did that make you feel better or worse about your ALL-STAR goalie? Yes the team bailed out Campbell over the last 7 games but they aren't going to score 4-6 goals a game in the playoffs night in and night out. That's what it would take with the way Campbell has been playing over the last month +. Can we say another 1st round exit?!

No, i actually compared the entire teams, you see the leafs are very good and can still win when their goalie plays bad. The habs are very bad, and only really silly people thought this team was any good when it was clearly insane goaltending draging them kicking and screaming to wins.
It's a simple concept, really

Jesus christ MTL takes that and runs. And as much as people are talking about price not playing, that might be better for edm. At least that way theyd put him on ltir and save his cap hit. Price is a below average goalie with probably the worst contract in the league and 1 good month of hockey already has people thinking hes back to being 2015 carey price.

Seems to me your grasping at anything to make your goalie appear better than he is. Teams can win in the regular season without an clutch goalie but come playoff time when the scores get tighter and scoring drops off, you aren't going to win with a 3.00 GAA and an 0.871 Sv%. Montreal might not have top end talent like the Leafs but they do play for each other when the chips are down unlike the Leafs. Pice absolutely went God mode last 2 playoffs but I don't remember him scoring any goals. Teams can't win if they aren't scoring and goalies don't score so explain how Montreal out scored Toronto in the Playoffs if the ONLY reason they beat the Leafs was because of Price!

Seems to me you're trying really really hard to move the goal posts because you're stil mad the habs are much worse than you thought they'd be after that price run.
And we've been over the goals thing, the habs won one of their games by more than one goal, one game. So it was indeed goaltending that won them the series, with price playing at even slightly human levels, they would have been swept.
Price was the only reason, unless you wanna factor in tavares' being out, matthews wrist needing surgery and danault also playing very well

Again Price didn't score a single goal in the series so how is it the garbage Habs were able to score on Campbell to even keep the games close? You explained how Price kept the Habs chances alive but not how the Habs were able to outscore the Leafs! Our forward group is garbage our D sucks and the ONLY reason we won is cause Price stopped everything BUT to win a game don't you need to be able to score at least 1 single goal? Yes you do! So how were the Habs able to do that? Especially on an ALL-STAR clutch goalie like Campbell?! Want to know? It's simple really, just like Anderson, Campbell is not clutch and Toronto's D sucked worse than Montreal's. Habs out played the Leafs on offense, defense and especially in goal! Cause you, me and every other person on the planet knows that Price may have kept the Habs in the series but the rest of the team still had to do their jobs and capitalize on their scoring chances against the Leafs otherwise the Leafs would have won the series cause the games weren't 1-0 on 4 lucky bounces. Nope the scores were 2-1, 4-3, 3-2 and 3-1 how is it that montreals garbage offense scored 12 goals in 4 games on Mr. ALL-STAR Campbell?

Ok, gonna make this very simple. If you win games by one goal, and two of those by OT and your goalie is phenomenal and him being just a slight bit worse means you lose, he is the reason you won.
So, if price was slightly worse in one of those games, let alone 3 all three habs wins leading up to game 7, there wouldn't have been a game 7 because you would have been swept by the team that was kicking the tar out of you all game and dominating the scoring chances.

Still not seeing where Price scored to win the games, you literally admitted that in order to win games you have to score to win. Ergo the Habs COULDN'T win without someone other than Price showing up. It does not matter how many stops Price made the game would continue until someone scored. It's really a simple concept that I am sure even you can understand. Goalies stop the puck, players score. Without one of each doing their jobs a team simply can't win.
