If the Jets decide to rebuild and do something like that, they're going to want a bit more than that. They'll need a decent hedge in case Laf doesn't come around.

I think the Rangers would need to add a 1st and either Schneider or Othmann which would be totally fair IMO.

Yeah this is not at all what Winnipeg would be looking for in a trade for Scheifele. They’d be looking at a top RD prospect or a top forward prospect to start. Laff is not a top forward prospect.

Like you said if rangers added Schneider and a 1st it would be closer but still probably not what Winnipeg wants. Unless they’re 100% sure lafreniere can be the player he was drafted to be.

There's no way to be sure that Laf will become what he was scouted to be.. Is Scheifele actually rumored to be moved? I think it's a mistake if he is.

No rumours of anyone being moved, just moreso the team being in a slump and changes on the horizon. Like potential GM firing and maybe a culture change. Scheifele hasn’t been bad, but hasn’t been good. Looks a bit disinterested. I think it’s mainly fans stirring this up, but I could see a big change coming if the GM is fired.

I think moving scheifele can be a win or a loss depending on the return. Because he’s likely going to be asking for north of 9.25 million and I’m not sure that’s something the jets should commit to.

I can't see the Jets having much interest or placing any real value in Kravtsov. Winnipeg already has trouble with their compete level, so they shouldn't be adding an entitled malcontent to that.

But when he is on he is elite. Love watching him play.
