Did you already forgot that Tampa traded for Goodrow. Tampa need exactly a players to fill the role the Goodrow and Coleman had last two cup run. Lehkonen is a perfect candidate since he got another year left before becoming Ufa. Tampa are in win mode and have already proven that they aren’t afraid of trading their first round pick to acquire missing pieces. Lehkonen would provide speed on their bottom 6 and would be a amazing assets for a deep playoffs run since Lehkonen is a true gamer. This is exactly what tampa is looking for.

I agree that Tampa might go all in...but your trade comparison is shaky. Goodrow was for a first and third, for 1.5 years. Lehotnen is a an RFA and doubtful probably really a UFA since Tampa might not able to afford him. Plus the Tampa like Katachok now and long term.

Tampa gave that for Goodrow but Lehkonen is significantly better than Goodrow. Is analytic are great, he average around 13 goal and 30 point a season and have better number in playoff. That why Tampa paid more. And next year Palat will walk in Free agency and Tampa will have the money to qualify him for at least one more year.

They already made plenty of it! Savard , Goodrow. Just because you don’t like it doesnt mean you have the absolute answer for everything. This is exactly what Brisebois is looking for and your garbage statement won’t change anything about it.

Easy pass from Tampa. Katchouk has 2 more years of team control, and the line of him, Colton, and Joseph/Raddysh is starting to play better and better. Lehkonen costs too much and isn't worth what Tampa is giving up here for what he brings. You also have no idea whether Palat is walking or not, and even if he does, there are better ways for Tampa to use whatever cap space they have this off-season. The cap also doesn't work this year with Lehkonen's hit. Tampa will likely look at a possible add, but it'll be for an RD depth piece before a middle/bottom 6 F.

Where they getting the Cap space and how about Julian Brisebois' statement about not giving up really good young players on great contracts. Garbage deal. By the way since this is "exactly what Brisebois does" tell me one player off the active roster he has traded away at the TDL?

Really good players tears of joy Katchouk is a fringe NHL that play in NHL because Tampa bay had no cap space to had real players. Sonthis is exactly why Brisebois want a guy who actually can play big minutes in playoff. By the time of the deadline only a certain portion of Lehkonen contract will count so they will have enough space to get it done. Thabk you come again

Brisebois does not think that you're completely delusional want to wager no one off the current roster is traded away?

Tampa fans do thank him for making good trades that helped lead to b2b Cups. Luckily for Tampa, he is an intelligent GM and so would never do this trade.

Lol, cool, neither is Lehkonen. Tampa maybe offers a '24 2nd and a B prospect for Lehkonen at 50%, and even then, I doubt it. Lehkonen isn't needed nor wanted. Some other team can get fleeced if those are the asking prices.

Because you don’t line the idea doesnt mean its bad or that tampa bay doesnt need it. I guess that you said the same thibg when Goodrow or Savard or Coleman got traded for but Brisebois clearly knows that he nees more than raw talent to win championship. And that why Lehkonen is wanted and needed. Because all of Katchouk, Perry, Marron, Rayddish can’t bring the energie and the relantless working attitude that Lehkonen bring. They lost Gourde , Coleman and Goodrow and didn’t replace them at all. So yes again Brisebois will pursue a Lehkonen type of players.

You're very wrong, but that's cool. Lehkonen is a joke and worth maybe a 2nd+ small add. He's nothing like Coleman, who cost less, had an extra year, and was a far superior player. Same goes for Goodrow. Savard was at a position they actually needed last season, something Lehkonen isn't. Sorry you bit hard on the ramblings of Seravelli lol and now think Tampa will pay that for him. It's already been pointed out why the yrade is an easy pass for Tampa, but please keep looking desperate. Oh, and just because you think it's a good trade doesn't mean it is. They made most of their moves before the year with Perry, Bellemare and Bogosian, plus the increased roles for Katchouk and Raddysh(not to mention Joseph). Ultimately, it's not a move Brisebois would ever consider given the player and Tampa's position. He's nothing comparable to Goodrow or Coleman and isn't a fit for Tampa at that laughable price.

If Tampa does go after a F(they probably won't as RD is a bigger need), someone actually helpful like Crouse, or a better face-off guy like Brassard, or someone for depth who still has term will be their targets, not an overrated player who will need more than Tampa will pay on his next contract(especially with Tampa needing to be very precise with the allocation of their cap. Lehkonen is not it for Tampa. Even if Tampa wanted him for this one run, it's at best a 2nd+B prospect for him 50% retained. Even then, Tampa would have to make another move(at least) to be cap compliant. It's not worth the player or players they would have to move out to bring in a player of Lehkonen's level.
