Not to make make light of Carey Price’s situation at all. Or to pick on this post specifically, because a lot of Avs-Habs posts have Price to Colorado... How is a guy who’s played 0 games with no timeline for return supposed to help Colorado win this season? Carey Price has had a terrific career, but given his current situation and his contract I don’t think he’s going anywhere anytime soon.

price is immovable, he’s got no value at 10.5 mil and the habs will want more than price is worth just for the retention. i don’t love kuemper but price doesn’t make the avs better, he’s not even playing right now and hasn’t been a top goalie in years. philly also doesn’t do that.

Common sense is all you need to realize why its bad

Hoffman is no longer a 30 goal scorer, and is in the first year of a contract that is already looking bad. At this point Kuemper has more value than Price as nobody knows when he returns and if he will play like he did in the playoffs or like he has the last couple years in the regular season. Barron and a 1st are both a lot more valuable than Hoffman as well. Habs would have to add a lot to this deal for Avs to accept
