I think adding a guy like Giroux could be beneficial for the senators, with him being good, and being a veteran. He can help with the leadership too. I think there is a good chance Brown leaves unless the senators are good by the time his contract is over. He has 29 points in 34 games. Very good guy to have on the second line!

He’s been on fire like the last 10 games . Idk if it’s sustainable but I really like him in the middle 6. I still think we need Kuzmenko as a sniper plus another play driver in the top 6

I'd like Giroux, but to pry him out of Philly, he'll need to sign for multiple years at 7+ and I don't think that's going to work for Ottawa's pocket book. The year after next, Ottawa will need to re-sign Pinto and Stutzle. Not to mention Norris and Zub extensions are going to cost a ton. I think he'd fit the top 6 nicely and add a legitimate "veteran" presence with skill and grit.

I see this as well. If Paul isn't re-signed, i think a line with him, Connor Brown and Pinto down the middle would be a fantastic third line.

I wouldn't move Stützle away from C. He's good down the middle, and will only get better as he gets stronger

I think that really depends on who is available. If there's a RW will a skillset that doesn't normally go on the market then go for it. But I wouldn't be forcing a trade. Some possible targets could be Konecny, Boeser or Laine. Laine would probably be too expensive in assets and contract though. I'd rather Konecny out of those 3.

In free agency Giroux seems like the popular answer. Hometown, veteran. Really it comes down to his preference. I'm really interested in seeing where the Kuzmenko rumours go. That could be a steal.

I don’t think Ottawa should bank on Forms being a top 6 winger. Absolutely nothing wrong with him being an elite 3LW and pk specialist for years to come.

Team should be focused on adding talent ahead of him. Kuzmenko should be the priority, Giroux as well if he’s willing to come home. I like @Cmac66 mentioning Konecny too, another guy who I’m sure wouldn’t mind coming back to Ottawa after he spoke so highly of his time with the 67’s. Also given his recent play and the way that Philly has soured on him and his contract I don’t think it would take a whole lot to acquire him right now.
