Yeah some 2C guys, Hertl, Kadri, Giroux the top of my head but are those the guys that are answers and do they go to DET? I wouldn’t be in a rush to add a guy that is on his last legs when they are really ready to contend.

Surprised you want to re-sign Leddy as opposed to going after Hampus Lindholm. Detroit has plenty of space (he'll only cost a few million more than Leddy) and him paired with Seider could be deadly.

Otherwise, you're looking good, and this rebuild could turn Detroit into another dynasty in the coming years.

If Detroit has a chance to sign Hertl I think they should put him in-between Vrána and Zadina.

Trade Suter, Veleno has more value imo due to team control and potential.

I don’t see Veleno returning anything substantial though and Suter most likely gets shipped off at next years TDL anyway.

He absolutely should go after one, in this year's draft. I think Detroit will be in the top 10 or early teens and have the pieces to execute a trade up, or they might get some damn lottery luck for once. Pick 11+Bertuzzi to move up could be an attractive package for example.

Especially if Yzerman sells a couple of the expiring players at or before the deadline. I dont think losing Leddy, Namestnikov and/or Stetcher will hurt the team's development. The entire team is built on patient development, the defensive pipeline looks set, and will be slightly slower to develop, this year is the year to address the needs at forward.

Yeah suter seems like the odd man out but maybe they see veleno
